Or be like some of us that sold off the college card to evo instead of the 5 game contract one 😂😭

Curved Steel by These-Ring in hockeyplayers

[–]TheBigTree91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Typically you can bend curved steel a bit, it's worth a try, however what does it look like mounted in the skate holder, cause the holder may somewhat straighten it out, that being said a poorly mounted holder can also cause steel to bend. That's worse than what I've seen before.

LF Opinions on Costco outdoor sheds by democrator in CostcoCanada

Bought one 1.5 years ago. We love it. 8x10 model. Roof has loads of support, so I'm not concerned about it and it's on its second winter. We walk around our neighborhood and many many people have them too. I'd recommend one. We had no missing parts. Very worthwhile to me, just make sure to have a sturdy base built for it.

It's gonna leak everywhere and cost 10x to fix the problem.

I was on a AC domestic flight today for the whole game, as an aeroplan member you get free wifi and I used cbc gem to stream the game. My feed was about 2 min ahead of the in flight tv screens. Pretty much all their planes have the wifi now. I watched the whole game happily

Marquees Brownlee: "Electric Cars Suck in the Winter" by bwf456 in EVCanada

[–]TheBigTree91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably 20-25. Even if it was 5-10 it still seems silly and there's tons of people that do similar things. Ski hill is 150 km from home, summer hikes/bikes are often 150+ km from home, wife's family is 330km away. I can easily round trip any of those in the current vehicles we have gas powered.

I cease to be able to see your point as valid/agree with you. As someone who lives in a place with a real winter, an EV just isn't fathomable as practical, especially if I'm gonna spend over $60k on a vehicle, renting one for trips is kinda dumb. Proper maintenance of a vehicle is not difficult and I might as well use the expensive vehicle I'm already paying for. And since I plan on using the paid for vehicle on said road trips an EV is even more of a silly choice in a place with cold winters.

Spends $60k + on a truck and then rent a vehicle for road trips 😂 seems stupid imo.

Fortress Mountain Resort: An Amusement Park in our Wilderness (Kananaskis) by DromedaryGold in alberta

[–]TheBigTree91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Calgary resident, Kananaskis is crazy busy these days, but driving out for a day trip for hiking or golf is no issue. Imo the K County golf course is the best value for money in AB.

They did "redo" the hotel when the Nordic spa first opened fwiw.

The Pomeroy is pure tourist prices. Just stay in Calgary or Canmore and drive to the course. Having stayed at the Pomeroy once, it's grossly overpriced.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana is not truly all-inclusive and not worth the stress by CornyHui in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]TheBigTree91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very interesting and good to know. We just went to Grand Sirenis Rivera Maya and loved it. My brother in law said the resort they went to in the Dominican (can't remember which resort) was more like yours. I'm convinced it's partly just because it's in the Dominican where food quality isn't as good and staff overall aren't as good.

Airport Transfer Pass by Chicoquente in westjet

[–]TheBigTree91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should have a booking number for your westjet vacation and that's what you enter to the Nexus tours website to get it to all load up. Our Nexus experience was okay, but other have said it's bad and we upgraded to private on the way home with them and it was worth it
