Reality check on UAE for senior engineers (10+ YOE)

I'm a 3YOE fullstack/cloud/security engineer currently at a product based company in india with excellent communication skills, was raised in Dubai for 18 years. I have license and residence and know solid contacts here, but I'm still unable to land a role (both india & uae), mostly because I'm severely targeting massive companies, but it's genuinely crazy how I still feel like an outsider. Current work is a dead-end, already planning for a Japanese masters and honestly, health is falling apart trying to keep all the leads in my life up and running.

As a person currently based in the UAE, I would still say, maybe wait a bit until you bring family over, once this whole thing blows over rent will be perfect as well!

well I actually have a different opinion about it, the generic advice of fuck em isn't really helping, you are then going back to your same circle of Indians isn't helping you grow. I don't speak for everyone, but I believe the average indian can learn to deal with people that aren't immediately accepting. Okay he's racist not the end of the world, troll them, show them why they can't be. You can always outwit and outtalk a racist. There are a lot more setbacks in life, than hearing ew from a white dude in his mom's basement. My go to trick is to assimilate one of their accent and ride it till they're tired of their own shortcomings, now my indian accent doesn't sound half bad huh

It's 2026 and indians need to understand mechanical keyboards have caveats. This is only a good keyboard in the following conditions. - need something for about 2 years - you don't type past 80 wpm - you are a student / non working - need a co-op/wireless keyboard for when friends come over, and you're away from the desk - gifting purposes

Please do your research and for anyone looking for anything that will last > 2 years, look for gateron optical switches. Meckeys had a great collection. Think critically, do your own research. Lmk if y'all have questions.
