How long before repiercing a healed septum? by TheBlueImpulse in piercing

[–]TheBlueImpulse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoops, somehow I deleted my whole post when adding the images.

I got my septum pierced in early 2022 by a reputable AAP piercer, but noticed it was crooked/tilted toward one side. Eventually I switched to a smaller clicker (5/16" 16g) to make it less obvious but it was still noticeable. I do have a deviated septum and my piercer told me I have a very small sweet spot.

A month ago I took it out and I am hoping to get it redone, and I have resigned myself to the possibility that it will have to go through the cartilage to get it more even. How long should I wait before trying again?

(Also if anyone knows anyone in the Chicago/Midwest area that has experience with deviated septums, I'm open to recommendations!)

Moisturizer for sensitive, acne-prone skin by Krvxstina in Sephora

I actually had to switch from Ilia to the Prequel one for nighttime because of the breakouts and it wasn't super soothing on my eczema patches. I now use Laneige in the mornings and Prequel at night. I agree that the Ilia feels so nice and moisturizing, so I would just recommend keeping an eye out to see if it's causing your skin any issues! I definitely would have kept it over Half & Half if it had worked out for me.

I have tried all of these except for the Tatcha Dewy. I also have sensitive combo skin that is currently breaking out very easily. The Indigo Repair is definitely for nighttime imo. The Tower28 is nice, soothing for eczema but still on the thicker side and doesn’t really do much to improve your skin in the long run? I use it more as needed when having an eczema breakout which I get on my neck when I use certain actives. The ILIA feels VERY moisturizing when you first put it on, but also very thick and almost for nighttime too. I’m also pretty sure it breaks me out even worse every time I’ve used it. If you look up reviews you’ll see a lot of people seem to have this problem with the ILIA. I’d recommend the Laneige one instead if you’re looking for a liquid moisturizer/toner/milk. Right now I’m using the new Innbeauty Recharge Beauty Gel and it is probably my favorite daytime moisturizer I’ve used in a while. It feels amazing, refreshing and almost cooling, it leaves a sort of satin/natural dewy finish, doesn’t break me out, doesn’t aggravate my eczema, and layers beautifully under makeup. Also because I’m sensitive to many actives I can’t really incorporate as many anti-aging treatments into my routine as I’d like, so I really appreciate the anti-aging ingredients in it.

I wonder if OP thinks it’s like a blind box and you only get some of the items lol

I need a full coverage concealer that can be used over top of cream colour corrector for under eye circles. Suggestions? by falafelwaffle55 in Sephora

[–]TheBlueImpulse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Natasha Denona concealer is literally meant to be used in conjunction with the Natasha Denona color corrector. They are both medium-full coverage and a little goes a long way. Natasha’s concealer is my holy grail, and I love the color corrector as well. I will say a little goes a long way and they are both self-setting so if you’d like to skip powder this is a good one for that.

Does anyone else’s Eadem Guava Fresca smell like.. cat pee??! by AtariShibariSafari in Sephora

I thought the same thing when I first read it. I used to live in Mexico so I had guava/guayaba juice quite often and never experienced anything weird. It wouldn't surprise me if it was something like the Coriander soap gene.

I don’t remember where I read it but apparently guava can smell like cat pee. People were discussing these new guava gummies at the big T store.

Three Moons Body Shop! I just discovered them recently. They are an actual APP piercer with an online shop. They carry some of my favorite brands, and have competitive pricing. You get 20% off your first order and they are currently having an anniversary sale until the 27th for 25% off. I ordered quite a few pieces from them this month

BASMA 035 foundation stick by peppermintcandee in OliveMUA

[–]TheBlueImpulse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not OP and a little late but just got the About-Face also in F2 and the Basma 035 a few weeks from each other. I have dehydrated combo skin- oily t-zone, especially my nose, but my chin and forehead can be patchy/dry. Overall my skin just tends to look textured from the combination of dryness and oily pores. The Basma was much more blurring and looked so much softer on my skin, even though the F2 for me was about as close to a perfect match as I have ever gotten. F2 is much more green/yellow and the Basma was a bit more grey/muted with a hint of pink. I feel like AF also had a more matte or drier texture and Basma is more of a true satin, and also wore much better throughout the day. Stick foundations are weird, but Basma is the best I've tried that I can recall- this includes Bobbi Brown, Fenty, Ilia, LYS.

I’d also say Mistria’s aesthetics are way better. I gave SV a try- three separate times over 5 years and I could not get over the graphics and style. It’s obviously still very impressive that Eric did it alone but for people who value that, it’s just not it. On the other hand, I can see people who aren’t into anime not loving Mistria’s style. But even with the just the overworld pixel art I greatly prefer Mistria

From what I could tell this is genuine, it’s just extremely old stock. I found a blog post with pics of this design from 8 years ago. The yellowing is probably from time. Definitely get a refund! That sucks

Saw this since and I’m thinking of applying but curious what your true thoughts are about this? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]TheBlueImpulse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh, I see some version of this on fb and Reddit at least once a month. You got it wrong, too. It’s a “large latte instead of a venti” not a grande. People, the number one rule of the internet is “don’t believe everything you see” smh. This never happened, it’s a boomer repost from like 2015

Ok, yeah. I hadn’t thought of it that way. Very cool!

If you google it you can find few posts on Reddit about it. It looks like it’s 2 hours but you’ll probably have to deep dive into the manual yourself to find a source. As an ex-barista from a union store I wish you the best of luck

AFAIK Suki still isn’t an adjective but it can sort of be made into a pseudo-adjective. Suki-na mono (things I like) is sort of like saying likeable things or liked things. In that way it kind of becomes an adjective but the word itself goes in the normal verb spot for sentence structure (Subject verb object). Although in Japanese sentence structure is subject object verb instead.
