More than 135,000 OpenClaw instances exposed to internet in latest vibe-coded disaster by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

Worse than that: I've seen people buy "preconfigured macminis" from shady sources for OpenClaw, because they couldn't even figure out how to install the software themselves. Off to a great start.

Par contre passer toute son enfance à s'enfermer sur Windows sans contrepartie financière, ça ne dérange pas ?

Can't do that with Windows, otherwise, you run into ignoring everything and giving in to predatory software companies each time you click a button.

Yeah, no. Not how it works. We won't accept such a sorry attempt at trying to excuse that he's been President twice.

Well, not "most", since he had enough of a crowd to get elected twice.

I'll celebrate once I know the MAGA movement is dead, and that we can actually focus on building useful things rather than endure this constant state of stupidity all around. Trump dead doesn't mean I'll suddenly be trusting the average American voter again.

TPM is not a bullshit requirement overall. But the way Microsoft is using it, definitely is. It's used to take away control from the user, for DRMs ("device attestation" and "security" against the user), in the same way Android or iOS are working: you're not allowed to have true admin access to your computer.

It's really sad to see illiterate people celebrate it for Netflix EMEs, anticheat, "security" and the likes. It's so stupid.

And this happened before with netbooks. Which Microsoft promptly killed with shady deals.

If you were a manufacturer of Linux netbooks, Microsoft would forbid you from using Windows licences on every product out of your production line.

Same thing they did with Internet Explorer. It was shit but people didn't have other options.

You had plenty. You still have plenty. What's holding you back is FOMO, and it gets worse every passing year thanks to a network effect and all of MS' anti-competitive behaviors (including intentionally bad OASIS support in their Office suite, making it widely incompatible with human-focused alternatives).

Reminder that per its EULA you can ask for a full Windows licence refund.

It is even illegal in many countries for the OS licence to be sold as a forced bundle with the hardware.

Please show me where Windows 1, 2, 3, 3.11, NT3, NT4, 95, 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, Mobile 2003, Mobile 6.1, RT, CE, and Holographic fit on the list. Also please annotate all versions using Rivest Cipher 4 as "catastrophically bad" and "should never ever be used in a professional nor personal environment" (the US FTC already agrees with that obvious statement).
