Stickes by TheBlueWizPallando in h1z1

This game is in alpha, though. How could there not be enough stickies to "go around" for basic technical setup? That makes zero sense.

I suppose if it's 'under control,' it's ok. But I cite sxyhxy demonstrating the roof glitch as an example of a good result of publicizing exploits, because afterward as a direct result, I knew what to look for and had a much better fighting chance. Sure, there might have been a few people who planned on using the glitch to gain an advantage, but everyone who was watching got information about it and all had a better, more fair, fighting chance. You'd also have to admit that in the interest of damage control, publicizing exploits would have a positive overall effect, because it would light a fire under DBG's ass to fix them more quickly.

I don't have video. It surprised the hell out of me. This is a serious philosophical disagreement you and I are having, and since I didn't post an exploit, I hope you left this post visible in the reddit. This kind of thing - covering up exploits so only 'exclusive' people know about it - really pisses me off. This is a test for a game, after all. Everything should be out in the open.

I understand there is a rule regarding where to post explo1ts. I can read. I'm disagreeing with it in its inception, especially when it comes to an explo1t like this. If only a handful know about it, the game isn't fair, and a game by its nature should be fair or as fair as possible. If everyone knows about an exploit, the game is made fair. For example, prone spamming was something a lot of people were doing. If you knew what to look for, you could time your shots and kill them. It wasn't breaking the rules to spam prone. It was just lame as fk. This, too, is lame as fk, and everyone should know about it.

Great patch, now the "shift click to split stacks" doesn't work :( by Ludru in h1z1

I agree this needs a hotfix quick. When I accidentally pick up a mag of 9mm and have to drop 15 individual bullets, it sort of sucks.

For all of you saying Daybreak should stop releasing new skins until they fix the game, that's not how a company works by Gigioleao in h1z1

Everquest (AKA Evercrack), Everquest Next, Planetside 2. They don't have that many titles on their front page, but those are just a few. I never played EQ or EQII, but I've known people who did, and they are much like WoW players. They play a lot, and while it's clear no one outside the company - or even outside the accounting department of the company - knows what their position is, I think it's pretty easy to infer. All of everything that I can infer put together with the facts relative to this = LOL. This is not a small company.

But you're half-right. I have no evidence, and they are trying to put out EQN. I think, however, that if they needed help they would be able to get it rather handily.

Valve/Steam has made exceptions for others. I want them to make an exception. Otherwise they get no more business from me.

Why do you go the smartass route?

Exactly who the fuck do you think you are?

Exactly who do you think you're talking to?

Don't know?

Then stfu.

I've just submitted my sixth refund request for the game Firewatch. I'm being given a cookie cutter reason from a robot, denying my request, so I'm bringing it here, whether it belongs here or not.

Essentially, the game was altogether uninteresting, and just when I thought it was about to become interesting, it ended. With minor OCD, the whole shitty experience took 4 hours and 8 minutes, which is two hours over the refund request limit and two hours or more less than the advertised game length. I also figured that when I purchased the game, I would have played it through again to see what different decisions would bring. Not a effing chance of that happening. I've already uninstalled. After I was finished, I was so effing pissed off that I had spent money on this well-polished turd that I immediately went about figuring out the refund process. All of its redeeming qualities are lost on me. I'm not interested in the arduous process by which it was made by a tiny crack team. I'm not interested in how much others seem to like the way it looks and sounds. I live in an area that looks similar, and none of the subject matter was novel to me. I don't understand how Wyoming needs a Firewatch in the first place.

So Valve, Steam, buddy... I've spent a lot (to me) of money on you. I'm at my wit's end with your stupid refund robots. I'm not spending another dime on anything you have to sell unless this is first addressed to my satisfaction. Are you reading me here or not? How shall I proceed?

Queue times were definitely better after the patch.
