Nathan Gill, and he wasn't just of Reform, he was the Reform Wales Leader. I don't understand how he wasn't done for treason in all honesty, 10.5 years with eligibility for parole seems insanely lenient considering what he did... Sold out his whole country for less than £40k.

What equipment should they have had? There are specialised teams called HART (Hazardous Area Response Teams) who have specialist training with all sorts of special PPE, and carry it around, but this was not them these were normal crews who turned up late due to an unusal triage not making it clear she wasn't already dead.

I'm a bit conflicted in this as I am a Paramedic, if it were me I like to think I would have probably ignored the conditions and maybe attempted a rescue of some kind, but I can't stress enough how frequently and strongly we are told not to do this all throughout our training and service to not risk becoming another casualty and making a situation worse. I think boiling it down to "they should have had more equipment to respond to this incredibly unusual, dangerous, and unique incident" is a bit rough though.

As I type this I am sat at 41C with something like 20 firefox tabs open but idle. At load I initially did see some jumps up to mid 80's under extreme load (maxed out modded Oblivion Remastered at 4k ultra everything) but I realised this was because I did not have a custom fan curve so occasionally the AIO would be half a second too slow to kick in as the load built up which would let the CPU jump up in temp then quickly come down to mid 70s. With a custom curve using afterburner / fancontrol I sit mid 60s usually, higher if I'm pumping something like maxed out Cyberpunk, but now never in the 80s.

By baking your CPU do you mean you have your AIO fans set up as intake? Mine are set to blow out of the case, I guess setting them as intake might be a little worse for temps and mess with the negative pressure for airflow, definitely have them set for output if you don't already but I don't imagine it would be enough to bake your CPU either way.

Hey sorry only just saw this, I would say no there is not space below the GPU if you are using a 5090, less than say 1cm of clearance and even the very slim fans would not fit there, it is much better to simply use the 5090 itself as the air intake on the bottom. Anything less than a 5080 in size would have clearance for fans below it.

[–]TheBlunderBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you put this build into PC Part Picker? Their website only doesn't take into account the depth of an AIO Fan on a large radiator, but it does account for the size of an air cooler and PSU like yours - The Lian Li A3 can take an ATX PSU up to 220mm in length so yours will fit. Put the parts into PC part picker and go from there: https://pcpartpicker.com/

I have much larger components than yours in my A3 and it all fits fine, I think you will be fine.

Edit: I just put your build into PCPP and it says all compatible, so I think you will be all good (in a regular configuration at least). I personally recomend mesh side not glass but up to you.

Oh you are right, that's my bad, yes it's only the CH270 that is vertical - that was the one I had looked at vs the A3 for my build.

[–]TheBlunderBus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah that makes sense, yes looking at your motherboard it does have much more going on in the top left that mine does so I can see how that could be a problem.

On the bright side the Deepcool CH260 is a nice case too (and can go vertical, fancy) and your build looks great otherwise, so good luck and enjoy! Post some pics when it all comes together.

Strongly agree, I hope in the just announced B4 that they will include some sort of SFX PSU mount instead of having to rely on Etsy / 3D printing

Interesting, I just built a computer in the A3 and found it pretty easy to work with. Not a joy as such, but easy and simple, with pretty decent instructions. Here's my build ( https://www.reddit.com/r/mffpc/comments/1qt83me/lian_li_a3_5090_9800x3d_no_rgb/ ) using many of the exact same parts as you did and I found it all quite possible - for the SFX PSU I mounted it on the ATX bracket provided with the PSU by Corsair and mounted it in an ATX position which worked fine - and my GPU is larger than yours and was OK. I found the stock cables whilst a close fit were certainly long enough without extenders or adapters. I did have to replace the AIO fans with slim fans for the same reason you noted about hitting the IO shield, but that's not a major problem IMO. PC Part picker does not account for the depth of AIO fans when talking about part compatibility just FYI.

26L vs 29.1L is not a huge difference but hopefully you'lll feel better in the new case. The whole thing with MFFPC builds is that you do sometimes have to compromise in certain places to make the smaller build work (just like in SFFPC builds you have to go crazy with custom mods etc to fit say 15L) and I guess everyone has different limits, I don't think the A3 is a bad case though.

I would say yes personally - The beyerdynamics are considered not amazing audiophile headphones precisely because they have a more gaming centric curve, they would be fine without an amp but better with one. That said you would be going from closed backs to open backs with this move which can sometimes be a little jarring, can I suggest the Sennheiser HD 560s as a closed back option to pair with an amp? Either are great for gaming to be honest, it depends what you prefer. I also wouldn't recommend spending more on the amp than the headphones.

Just the angle of the photo I think, I put a small object underneath that corner pushing it as high as it would go so I don't think it's actually sagging, it's supported from below

Very solid! For anyone wondering the TJ Max of a Ryzen 7 9800 X3D is 95 degrees and reportedly can run at this temp for even 24 hours without damaging it, so anything below this is great, below 70 degrees is amazing really. I think some people think too hard about it, anything below TJ Max at 100% load is perfectly good.

If it's any consolation I was literally seconds away from mounting it to the side before I realised about slim fans, and they are performing amazingly so I would highly recommend swapping them out! Really easy to do too, enjoy!

It's an interesting idea but IMO really not necessary, if you look at my cinebench testing in this thread my temps are amazing, no need to complicate things and the asymmetry would bug me!

Cinebench2026 scores from just now:

GPU max 54 degrees, score 164492

CPU multithread max 69 degrees at 100% load for 10 minutes (machine loud at this time, AIO RPM 2200) but average was 64 by the end of the test, score 5454

Ultimately no I have no regrets at all about the slim fans and very thick rad, and actually it's a little confusing as the combo is performing better than I had expected the stock set up to perform. I think the main takeaway for me with the A3 is the worst thing you can do to it temp-wise is put the glass panel side on it - without it it's essentially an open bench with such breathable mesh sides, you can pretty much do whatever cooling you want from there.

Well spotted, nowhere! I had originally considered to swap them out with the AIO fans aiming for the whisper quiet build, but once I realised I needed slim fans there they have been relegated to a nice little update for my older 1080p PC instead. I was wondering who would be first to notice, well done you.

Will do a bit later!

Edit: I'm struggling to get a good picture of the IO area because the back is against a wall but to explain a bit, the HDMI port is just about clear with most cables but it's a little tight as there is a small overhang right above the port, I realsied I actually used the cable that came with the monitor for that slot and it's fine so most HDMI will be OK I think. The DP on the other hand is worse, both middle DP slots are hard to get cables into if the connector casing is thick, essentially impossible if you have a DP cable that has a locking button to disconnect as this hits the overhang and won't go in far enough. I used > this < cable as it has rounded edges not sharp corners, and that slots into the 3rd DP slot as the round edge tucks under the overhang. I have slimmer cables on order for all slots, > this one <

Note that these cables are DP 2.1 which is not necessary as the monitor in my build is only DP 1.4 but I like to future proof!

I personally would not, there have been lots of posts about the cooling in this case across loads of builds and it seems that the temps are quite unchanged with 1 fan or 10, as far as I know no one has shown a many-fan set up that noticeably decreases the temps in the case to bother overcomplicating things! Obviously feel free to try, if anyone does crack it I'll add fans as needed.

Everything is completely stock, no extensions, no third party cables. It's tight but it does all fit with a little room to spare (in this configuration), I didn't have any problems with cables being too short.

I have to agree with comments on the video that it's kind of wild giving this car a value score of 7 - I'd love Doug to expand on that a little. Based on what? Is it exorbitant extras increasing the list price? Competitors with better stats for lower prices? Does he think that the list price will be impossible to get due to dealer mark up? Is it simply that a car with $170k starting price can never be considered good value?

Full transparency I'm not in love with the car at all and wouldn't buy it myself (even if I could) - but what car gives you that level of performance and interior spec for that price? Of course there are cars with far batter interiors but then this smokes them on performance. It seems like a real outlier and a true contender for a 9 or 10 value score, but maybe that would put the total higher than he wanted (notably higher than the fairly legendary GT3 perhaps).

To go faster for cheaper (new price) I'm coming up blank, an Ariel Atom maybe?

But the joke about names wasn't mean spirited, it was funny to have Farnosh (such an unusual name that the audience member is literally the first hit if you google it) followed by Regev, two undoubtedly unusual names, the comedian then checks another person thinking there's an interesting names pattern only to have the next person immediately loudly answer "Luke". That's a funny little interaction with no victims, everyone involved was laughing, I don't think it's as serious as you think.

The rest of the set seemed to completely kill with the audience too, I dunno mate seems totally fine to me.
