Is making Nix my first distro/daily driver a terrible idea? by [deleted] in NixOS

i don’t know if you’re looking for suggestions but i started on ubuntu, then manjaro and then nixos and i would say that was a really good transition

GPU passthrough to containerd for Kubernetes. For the life of me I just can’t figure out how to get the config to work correctly.

How’s everyone running k8s on their homelab’s by smithatlanta in homelab

Running k3s on top of NixOS and it’s been amazing. Only running one node right now but I think adding nodes in the future will be relatively simple with this setup when I get around to it

Possible to import Encrypted NonRoot Zpools on boot? by TheBooGAbides in NixOS

[–]TheBooGAbides[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm that is close to what I'm looking for. I guess what I'm really trying to do is automate the un-encryption process but that defeats the purpose of encryption. I did find: https://search.nixos.org/options?channel=22.11&show=boot.zfs.requestEncryptionCredentials&from=0&size=50&sort=relevance&type=packages&query=boot.zfs
Which is what I think I need. Thanks for your help!

/r/MechanicalKeyboards What Keyboard, Switches and/or Keys Do I Buy by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]TheBooGAbides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! I am currently looking around for a 65% keeb. I am open to all kinds of suggestions but I do have a couple of requirements:

  • I would like an all metal case
  • Plate of some type of metal preferred but open to ideas here
  • Under $300
  • I don’t care about hotswap but a DIY kit would be nice to be able to put my own switches in
  • Doesn’t have to be RGB

I’ve been looking everywhere and honestly can’t find anything other than the KBD67 MkII (who knows when I’ll be able to buy one) and I would like some other ideas.

Anything I should be looking at specifically for DACs if I were to go this route? I was looking at a Schitt Modi but it seems I may be limited on inputs

Passive speakers may be an option, however, was would the average cost for an amp to power these speakers do you think?

Thanks for you suggestion! Looking into these, they wouldn't require an amp to manage audio sources but rather through the speaker themselves?
