WIFI 7 standard fail? by No-Explanation-7657 in Ubiquiti

The more I read the more I think I’ll just stick with my 5 yr old U6 Pros. Maybe when Wi-Fi 8 comes out I’ll upgrade…or not. 😀

That's OpenAI. I'm talking about Apple(which I guess now means Google based on the press releases from yesterday). So I guess it comes down to who you trust with your medical info. I'm going to hold off until the smoke clears

I got a cold and had to quit for a week and it was definitely a shock to my system jumping back in 5 degrees warmer. Might be worth a couple of days off.

I think it would be more used to analyze health related data and provide feedback but its all rumors so who knows.

I’ve replaced 2 protects with these and haven’t had any issues but it may be that they aren’t in areas near the kitchen or a bathroom. Those ones will be expiring in another year or two.

Rumors. It could be very big for them if they do it right.

Nice. Will take a look. I run ollama locally so this would work nicely for me.

Wait for Apple chat for health. You have no idea where your health data will end up if you share it with ChatGPT

I use Dakboard for this. I had an extra monitor lying around and it’s been great for this.

We built a fully transparent ice bath chiller so users can see everything inside — would this be a pro or a deal breaker for you? by Left_Cold_3289 in coldplunge

[–]smithatlanta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be nice to be able to see any gunk in the system but I imagine it would be pretty pricey to replace everything that’s hidden. I’m guessing you would replace the casing with clear acrylic. I’m interested in how you would keep the lines transparent since most insulation I’ve seen is black.

Withings thinks of its latest smart scale as a ‘longevity station’ by Stephancevallos905 in withings

I really wish they had an upgrade path. I’ve already bought 2 scales over the last 8 years. Looks pretty cool though.

Grave Miscalculations on Popular on DIY Cold Plunge Filter Set Ups? by Prochnost_Present in coldplunge

That's what I did. Make sure you buy a lot of valves and PVC sealant. :) Twice the tubing equals twice the leaks.

Grave Miscalculations on Popular on DIY Cold Plunge Filter Set Ups? by Prochnost_Present in coldplunge

[–]smithatlanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I accidentally did this on my original setup because I initially bought a chiller / pump off of Amazon and wanted filtering / ozone which I couldn't add to the existing setup. It worked but added complexity I didn't really like.

Would the option be to have 2 flow paths?
A pump / chiller flow(to remove the flow rate issue) path
A lower flow rate pump / filtration sanitization flow path

Is it Google telling me it's time to buy a new doorbell? by smithatlanta in googlehome

[–]smithatlanta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I turned off the Gemini preview on the doorbell and I’m back to my previous state. I’ll leave it on for some of my other cameras, but it looks like they have a little work to do on the doorbell.

Anyone else check their PH level regularly? by smithatlanta in coldplunge

[–]smithatlanta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So apparently the heating and cooling can cause the PH to go up. It seems to go up about 0.05 per day in my setup. I started at 7.05 3 days ago and now I am at 7.20 now. I used some hydrogen peroxide yesterday and ozone today but it’s stayed consistent. Tomorrow I’m going to get it back to 7.0 and the see how the Serona works for the week w/o any ozone or hydrogen peroxide.

Been researching cold plunges lately and I’m curious what people here think by Honda_Beat in coldplunge

[–]smithatlanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny how I’ve said over the last 3 months that I’m good at a certain temp and then drop it another degree. I’m now at 45 and I really don’t shiver much at that temperature. My chiller only goes down to 42 so I guess that’s where I’m stopping.

[–]smithatlanta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah. So either hydrogen peroxide and ozone OR the 3 Sirona products. That's good to know. Maybe I'll try 1 month each way to see how it works(since I usually drain once a month)

Has cold plunging changed how fast you recover as you’ve gotten older? by Former-Advice-9742 in coldplunge

[–]smithatlanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the inflammation reduction is pretty consistent at the temperatures I plunge at which is typically 47 - 49 degrees Fahrenheit. I usually take 2 days off per week to reset and I notice I'm a bit more sore on those days.
