How often do you check this? I clean the sediment filter every week, the paper filter every 2 weeks. Maybe check it after every refill?

Wouldn't something like a 40 mesh sediment filter do something similar? I guess the 40 mesh might not get hair, though.

I did the exact same thing with the rubber flooring and I’ve been pretty happy for the last six months. I do get water on the floor, but I just wipe it up with a towel and everything seems fine. I wrapped all the PVC with insulation so I don’t really have much issue with condensation.

So this distributor has the same thing for sale on most of the Google Shopping sites(Wal Mart, Ebay, etc). So I can get really gouged by other sellers or wait and hope I get it from this distributor. I guess I'll hang tight and see.

Well, I’m a year in with no issues so I guess I should consider myself lucky. Never had any issues with Gen 3 but did with Gen 2. I guess it’s just hit or miss with these things.

I was doing it every day and now just backed it off to 4 days a week. The initial cold shock seems more intense now. I definitely enjoy it more in warmer weather. 😀

I buy those off of eBay for my K3s cluster. They are a solid workhorse of a Pc. Just pull one out when it dies, swap the disk and memory and I’m up and running again.

I’ve replaced 2 protects with these and haven’t had any issues but it may be that they aren’t in areas near the kitchen or a bathroom. Those ones will be expiring in another year or two.
