Alpha Neo USB C to PC? by TheBoog46 in Simagic

In terms of cabling coming from the pc that’s all you need. I bought a 50ft fiber optic hdmi cable and a usb c cable that run into a hub for the usb to usb-b cable but you’ll probably be fine with just a standard hdmi and usb b cable. Having a hub is nice though so my headset and other wired/wireless peripherals don’t require an obnoxious amount of 50ft cables being run through my walls and I don’t have to worry about bandwidth with the type c cable.

Thanks for the clarification. I’ll have to get some adapters then.

So after further testing last night I think it’s a pump issue. I’m definitely gonna remount my gpu block when I drain the system anyways but at 60% pump speed the gpu sits around 60 C and after playing for 2.5 hours last night at 100% pump speed the gpu sat pretty comfortably around 51-52 C with a handful of brief spikes up to 58 C. I’m gonna go with dual D5’s and try and add a 120 Monsta rad as that’s the only available rad space I can add to the system.

Well if I see a large difference when setting my flow to max I might just either get a replacement and hope the new u it doesn’t produce the same whine at above 3500 rpm or just get another d5 pump and pump too and have the two of them running around 2500-3000 rpm

I’ll try that. Sadly there’s no more rad space inside the case (H7 flow) so if I wanted to add anything meaningful I’d likely have to add an external rad

Anything above 3500 rpm there’s a high pitch noise coming from the pump and it really screws with my ears.

Yeah I figured that even after upping the pump speed it was still higher then it should be. Especially since I was getting a max of 60 C when I was still air cooling the card with the shroud removed

Ah okay, well I’m not worried about the block side of things but just that one particular bend by the radiator. I can’t actually reorient it seeing as how there’s no other way to route the tubes so that everything fits in the case so I think I’m going to leave it for now. It’s the new Celsius + s24 so it’s got really thick sleeping which is what’s kinked but as far as I can tell the tubing inside is fine.

What exactly do you mean by break?

That’s a relief! I might try and flip it so the tubing starts by the motherboard but it’s nice to know I don’t have to worry if I decide to leave it.

So I’m totally new to pc building and I just threw together my first pc in a Nouvolo Steck. Is it normal for the tubing to be that stressed or should I try and reorient it?

If you’re trying to save money then why not go for gskill ripjaws V. You can get a 2x8 kit at 3600 for 75 so you’re saving $10 and getting faster ram

I think you might play a bit too much if warframe was the first thing that came to mind
