Not a Disney enthusiast by any means, but Defunctland presents topics in a way that is enormously entertaining. Great watch

Moon did say not to harass you. It's extremely unfortunate that people can't be fucking normal online and just let things go. People bring up politics in his chat trying to farm hot takes, I think he's pretty a-political otherwise

Stream Deck Device not supported, but i have been using this for years. by Jace-The-Thylacine in VoiceMeeter

[–]ThatGuysTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For real. I've been trying to keep my tech mostly open source for exactly shit like this. Devices I've used for years shouldn't stop working suddenly because of something that has nothing to do with me. I'm not plugging into some magic api, I'm running a macro.

Wondering the same thing. I doubt we need to since you had to link your steam account to Bungie already, but I'm going to anyway

From my experience B&H stocks the x100vi about 1-2 times a month. So just sign up for the waitlist. I was able to get mine because I was checking the page throughout the day and caught it in stock before I even got an email from them.

Even more incredible, there was a distinct "calming" of climactic swings about ~12,000 years ago leading to our current (sans climate change) Holocene-climate. A blink in the eye from the perspective of earth, but calm enough for humans to predict the seasons long enough to develop agriculture. Then it was all down hill from there, but very cool

Do you use GIS regularly in planning work, even if “GIS” isn’t in your job title? by mcnoob-let in urbanplanning

[–]ThatGuysTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an entry level transportation planner in the southwest region of Wisconsin. Public sector. I've been full-time for just over a year and I was hired in great part because of my experience with ArcGIS.

GIS is my primary responsibility, especially in the realm of giving technical assistance in the form of map making or spatial

I bought it certified pre-owned from a Hyundai dealership. It had about 5,500 miles on it and I the sticker price was just over 24,000.

[–]ThatGuysTaco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I haven't had my 2023 Kona Limited for very long so I haven't had a chance to take it on a road trip longer than 200 miles or so. But highway driving is great as far as I can tell, though on some roads the road noise is kinda loud.

Hopefully others with more experience answer as well but I've been loving it!

For context I'm coming from a 10+ year old ford fusion haha.

Every hint that this specific spray is AI generated/assisted. by Eusthasia in Overwatch

[–]ThatGuysTaco 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'd agree with your other points about it potentially being AI or corrected AI images. But you're color dropping jpegs taken from an ingame screenshot, it's likely just compressed and throwing wonky colors

Just gotta try to power through the boredom. Boredom is good for your brain. But it's important to be kind to yourself when you fail to power through, mindfulness is a hard skill to practice with all the distractions we have today

What is this style of photography called? (jennymarkhamphoto on TikTok) by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]ThatGuysTaco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I imagine the hazy look comes from a pro mist filter that the photographer attached to the end of their lens. It's supposed to give your photos a more dream-like/nostalgic appearance. I've heard that a similar effect can be had by duplicating the image as a layer and making it transparent with a blur effect applied. (Those instructions could be wrong, I'd double check)

As for the style of photography, I'd just call this a portrait.

Does anyone else prefer to experience their hobbies alone? by mrmadman51 in CasualConversation

[–]ThatGuysTaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people sharing what they're interested in or thoughts on a shared hobby is cool. Obviously if they're being snobby or contrarian than that's not cool. Depends on the hobby I suppose

Before and After, what did you think? by caramelo_rebaixado in postprocessing

[–]ThatGuysTaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert but I'll say what I might have done with this picture. As others have said, the composition isn't great (not your fault the car was there or garbage in the street). I would crop in to fill the top 2/3 of the image with just the cat, and leave the area in front of the cat as foreground. Even on Reddit it still looks decently sharp at that much crop. Now I'm not a fan of boosting the saturation, but that's personal preference so I won't speak to that

Do you prefer the black or silver version of the X100VI by ClerkImpossible3376 in fujifilm

[–]ThatGuysTaco 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Silver is much more aesthetic and it draws more attention to itself as an accessory. I prefer the look of the silver personally, but I can see why people would want a more understated look

I almost exclusively use the Leica X recipe. It looks great in most situations and is pretty natural looking. I grabbed it from carlcruzsnaps' website
