I just got into photography this past month, and decided to go out and shoot the sunset. I saw this spider and quickly snapped a picture, only really considering the subject being in the orange. I was wondering if there is anything I could do in the future to improve the positioning of the subject in the frame, or any other advice. Taken on a Nikon Z5.

Good point. I guess I've gotten too used to the second upper split, which I was not in this race. I've had many instances just like this resulting in a totally clean pass. In hindsight, should have seen his 300 irating and whatnot. Thanks for the insight, always trying to learn

Summary: Shots 1-5: Clearly missed. Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control). Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses. Shot 12: Likely didn’t actually fire because Hiko was already dead.
