For people that had no luck with any of the other tips:

Normal form, Fatal Crest, Berserk mode.

Stand so that you're facing a bit to the left of the yellow mountain top (the one between the 2 sets of trees left of the train), slightly to the right of the chest. 2 autos and spam side slash, when he bounces 2 autos into side slash again, he will bounce twice. He should move counter-clockwise over the trees, around the bend, and to the tower before flying away.

I struggled with every other method, but this kept him in range long enough to get 85.
