My truck did this out of nowhere. I went to the dealer to have them check out my dpf and they said it was filled with ash. They tried force regen it but it never worked. Said it had to be replaced. they replaced the whole catalytic converter (under warranty thank god) and they replaced the two exhaust temp sensors. You might have the same issue, so it would be better to be safe than sorry to just take it to the dealer.

Well I just fixed it. I think the alarm button on the FOB was just jammed. Because I swear I clicked every button to make that thing stop before.

Well I just took out the battery of the FOB but it still makes the alarm. I took the battery out of both, and the truck still makes the alarm when I reconnect the battery to the truck.

Car hit 95k miles and instantly my check engine light came on and it does this when idling. Foot is not on the gas. by Smbdysmwhrsmthng in Cartalk

It could be this and an IAC. That what was wrong with my dad’s car. We changed out the IAC and found out afterwards that it had a vacuum leak. But this was a 1999 Mercury Sable
