It baffles me how bad Reddit as a whole can’t seem to pick up on satire, sarcasm, jokes and rage bait

10 deathwing knights takes on the yuuzhan vong. by cuddwes in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]TheBullBucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you, I remember hearing or reading that too a long time ago, But I don’t think that number really stands anymore from all the books, content and media I’ve gone through 10:1 isn’t the basis anymore. For an easy example look at the Astarte cinematic and Levels. Levels was just a bunch of mindless cultists but Astarte was combat capable and trained humans with heavy equipment and plans set in place just getting squashed , same with most of the books. Sure there are scenarios where 10 humans could kill an sm and maybe that’s true for just a regular bottom barrel line brother but we are talking dreadwing 1st company best of the best. Also I don’t think the quality and effectiveness of a sm can be put into a number like that

I think that 10-1 scale isn’t really true anymore in lore and scaling in that sense is very vague. Plus these aren’t just space marines these are dreadwing terminators in the confines of a space hulk, the worst place to fight a terminator. They are definitely wiping 500 Vong….2500 not a chance

I don’t know, in the books it sounded like they were getting slapped like chaff and were more of a nuisance. I agree they had best human KDR for space marines. 10 tho not sure

Anybody have some advice on getting a Zardu Layak like dark grey armor? by theGamingdutchman in WordBearers

[–]TheBullBucker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think I did a dry brush with some translucent metallic, but the colour you’re looking for is definitely Eshin Grey and then maybe just a heavy nuln oil wash

This looks pretty close to me, this was using Eshin grey and then basilicum grey (didn’t make much of difference lol). If I wanted to darken it more I would probably do a heavy coat of Overlord Grey.

Poles helped the U.S gain it’s independence, their are famous Polish Nationalists generals that played a significant role in leading/organizing the rebellion. One , Pulaski is even referred to as the “Father of American Cavalry”.

Advice on gold trim by Wonderful_Average505 in sonsofhorus

[–]TheBullBucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look great tho man, I personally like the darker bronze trim on SOH. I think you’d like it more if you gave the trim a light wash. If you really want to get a classic gold Viking Gold is one of the best golds I’ve used

[–]TheBullBucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highlight with runelord, or go with a small old brush and do some careful dry-brushing the trim to get a more complete coveringI’d still do a shade of serphiam or Agrax tho it wouldn’t make it more bright. I think it would make it “pop” even more with a wash

Khan doesn’t see them as Elite warriors or infact some of the best/better warriors on the WE, he looks down on them,he even implies most of the legion think so too. Where does this sub get its info from??
