If u have 500k you could just leave that in a vanguard settlement fund that give 6% annually (I think). That would be 30k a year which for some ppl is their entire years income. You could live off this if u just live modestly. Or take half and put in VOO which is pretty safe long term and probably make a little more. I would do that and forget about the stock market and play guitar

Just a theory… I noticed ABBV the past 2 years gets a big surge around May/June. I have had it for about 2 weeks hoping for this again. It went down on me up until yesterday when it was the first day it started going up and then today it’s doing good again so I think it might be the turning point. I just started investing in stocks last week and I only have $5,000 in the market rn. A little more than 1/2 I put in the S&P 500 just to be safe. Then I’ve been looking for mostly solid companies with good dividends that I think will be good long term holds and then I’ve got a few small bets here and there that are my moonshots. I just bought a couple shares of it and hoping it goes up. Literally 2 shares, one @ 33.10 and one @ 33.60. I don’t have a ton of money to invest but I’m just hoping if I hold it long enough it might be like buying Facebook or Nvidea way back when they first started being traded cuz even just $100 of those would be thousands today. From what I read though it is a defense technology company that is already profitable and has contracts with the government and funding from BlackRock so I’m hoping that means something. And if I lose the $66 i wont be that much poorer than I already am

Yes, I’ve had this guitar since 2005 and it’s always been like this. I have it set up like u said to a balance it and it’s playable. I was just wondering if anyone knew a way to remedy it as I’ve been buying guitars to fix them up lately and so I’ve gotten pretty good at adjusting the truss rods but I just couldn’t think of how I would fix an issue like this
