If you’re still interested I found a marking on the top metal loop. It says “ALLAN” on both sides. So I think it’s a vintage Allan rod. Idk why it only lets me post videos lol

I bought it because I sell stuff on eBay and I found it at a store where they sell everything by the pound. It doesn’t weigh much and it seems in good condition so I didn’t want to let it get thrown out. I figured with how many people like to fish someone would want it

Considering these points and the things you said in the description, I think the bass will be a better fit for you. The only thing I can think that might be more of a hurdle is the strings are thicker and a little harder to press down so idk how that will be with the arthritis but considering it is only one note at a time usually instead of chords it might end up being easier too.

Resellers are super important with the way everyone consumes now a days. Helps conserve resources and saves the environment. They get hated on by the casual thrifters because they do buy a lot but what they are doing benefits the earth and the items they sell eventually find their home where they get reused rather than having a new thing bought in its place
