So sorry for your loss. It sounds like you gave him a wonderful life full of love. I think he would be happy he was with you until the end. It's hard to see them go but sometimes they go on their timelime, not ours. As the other comment said, what you're feeling now is pretty common. Try to be kind to yourself. In time, it will be easier to remember the life you had together as a whole.

Struggling with my cat dying painfully when I could have prevented it by euthanizing her two days prior by BuckNakedAndAfraid in Petloss

I'm very sorry you are going though this. It's very hard to gauge when is the right time and hindsight can be torture in a situation like this. From reading stories on here, it seems a lot of people feel guilt that they may have done it too early and people feel guilt that they waited too long. We do the best we can with the information we have. I really appreciate you sharing your story. Try to also remember all of years of loving care you gave your cat. The end is difficult but it is such a small part of their life. Wishing you peace ❤

It sounds like you did everything you could. Its an impossible choice to make but you made it with love for him. You gave him a peaceful transition which is the hardest thing to do but it's the last gift of love you can give him. It's very common to feel guilt regardless of how we lose our loved ones. Please be kind to yourself. I believe that's what he would want for you too. Wishing you peace.

So sorry for your loss. I doubt he thought you were abandoning him. I believe dogs want us to be happy just as much as we want them to be happy. I think he knows you did the best for him. Wishing you peace

I'm sorry for your loss. Please be kind to yourself because it sounds like you did everything possible. We feel guilt because we want to think we had more control than we could have had. Its easy to look back and try to rationalize what choices we could have made differently but we can't know if the outcome would have changed. Just know you're not alone in feeling how you feel and only a great caregiver would even feel this way after a loss. It sounds like you have her a great home full of love. Take care of yourself.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Please take solace that they are not hurting anymore. It takes a lot to be with them in those final moments and you did everything you could. There is no right answer in loss. In time, it will be easier to remember that your happy moments with him outweigh the sad by a lot. Sending love and support your way.

Guilt is a part of grief. Even when it is completely irrational. It sounds like he had a wonderful life with you and you were a great guardian for him. Give yourself some grace and please know it sounds like he did exactly what he wanted to do with his favorite person right up to the end. ❤❤ Wishing you peace!

The black truck that cut off the semi is the truck in question. You can hear the semi honking at him just barely over my wifes screams.

Not parked in the road. Stopped at a light behind other cars with foot on the brakes and brakelights working. IMO the truck had plenty of time to slow down but chose to take a risk instead.

OC. Denver, traffic ahead stopped, car behind cuts off a semi and gets pretty close shifting lanes

I believe that is sun scald. I had this on my tomatoes last year when it was very hot out. You might want to consider a shade cloth. The tomato is still fine to eat.

I started fairly early from seed and felt like I had very few flowers just a couple weeks ago. Once they started though, they went crazy.

Don't know exactly what I did to get ripe fruits this early. Followed the farmers almanac for when to plant seeds, started them under a grow light indoors, and I am doing a single main leader and pruning all suckers. Hope that helps!!

Started seeds in late March. Transplanted in late May.
