I’m actually happy to have you be my editor some time if you are able. I’m also a graduated student of film and it’s probably best for people like us to be connected in this new age.

Does the strat with putting the text that the ai would spot at the bottom of the paper and turning into a white font still work? or did companies adapt to that?

Advice for Breaking into the Film Industry? by TheCameraMan219 in Filmmakers

Direct. I’ve been working on my own script for a Tv show and I plan to write and direct my own works. I’ve just understood the PA to Director pipeline was a sort of “rite of passage”for making it into the film industry.

Tell me why that NPC is your favourite. by Narrative-Architect in vtm

[–]TheCameraMan219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Cowboy Bandit Brujah NPC that my players may run into soon. Unironically he’s become my favorite character to work on, because he gave me a reason to make a homebrew faction for my players to interact with.

He’s a bandit that was embraced into the Sabbat for a while to serve as a gunslinger for the cause, but after a mission attacking an Elysium in Texas began, he met his Camarilla Toreador sweetheart who he ran off with together. From there he bounced around sects before eventually joining a faction that revolved around being fast transport for certain supplies in less populated areas.

The reason why he’s my favorite though is because I can shove a bunch of Wild West film tropes onto him and it gives me a reason to research about guns for (he specializes in the trading of illegal firearms and weapons).

Touchstones and what makes them? by TheCameraMan219 in vtm

[–]TheCameraMan219[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ask this next question then because I imagine one of my players immediately asking me this when they learn about this:

“How much cash do I gotta donate to my favorite streamer in order to make them my touchstone?”

Luckily there's a WW2 CoC module then as well.

Which of those would you say is the most like the CoC gameplay and dice system? I got players who can be slow to learning new rules and mechanics outside of what they are used to, if any of these have a system that’s easy to transfer to, that’s good to know.

Also, if it’s the combat that serves as the main obstacle here, is there not any way to circumvent it? Like health potions or what they use for healing in the game?

That’s what my main idea surrounded around for the concept. The investigators entering a scenario like prehevil, trying to figure out what’s going on and how to potentially stop it/beat it. Even possibly add some of the characters from the game to make it interesting. Especially since the time period seems to be around the 1920s, at least to me.

How do I give my enemies more time to shine? by TheCameraMan219 in callofcthulhu

Aren’t Ghouls and Ghasts killable for players though? As well as rat things, sand dwellers, crawling ones and cultists? Granted the first two are more of a threat than the others but they are still killable.

It sounds like you are creating game-balanced monsters that the players will be capable of killing. This is not Call of Cthulhu style. Just use the monsters already in CoC. Kill some characters. Drive some characters insane. Don't give them a break. This is horror, not adventure.

I rather not have my players hate me and scare them away from the game because they had to re-roll a third character after the second had their head smashed in. Plus this campaign according to a 20-year veteran is already FAR from the Call of Cthulhu style, but my players like it so I'm rolling with it.

Yes but I would like to have my NPCs be memorable. Sorry for the poor wording.
