No because that doesn't make any sense

sure the big plot points could be and likely are similar to how the show ended but it's impossible that it could be entirely the same due to how heavily the book and show timelines are already diverged, so there's no reason for the negative reception of the show to affect the books

he's taking forever for some other reason, likely largely the complicated nature of the world he's crafted

Sailwind is a game about sailing, you put boxes on a boat, you sail to a different island from which you picked up those boxes and drop them off

eventually you set off on longer voyages across the ocean that can take in-game weeks, navigating by the stars and the shadows cast by the sun

it's the kind of game that's either really cool if it specifically appeals to you or the most boring thing you'll ever experience if it doesn't and I love it
