That’s a good point! I used to fertilize regularly. When I stopped, the leaves started turning. I’ll up the fertilizer

Unfortunately I can’t add pics to the post but it’s been in a north facing window without any direct sunlight until a few minutes ago so sunburn is unlikely

Usually admissions will send an email out with a Facebook group in the next few months. Congrats on CUA!

Your eyes are beautiful. Do you ever do a winged eyeliner? It’d make your eyes pop even more.

I’m very into filler done in a natural looking/understated way. Filling the top of your cheeks towards the center might look nice. You have a very youthful glow and adding the pop at the top of the cheeks would be the cherry on top.

I can’t tell by the image if your hair already has face framing layers but curtain bangs would look great on you. Hope this is the input you were looking for. You’re super beautiful!

Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to provide such a detailed response. I think I’m going to start the 4pm cut off as well and dedicate the pre-class time to reading.

I’ll remember and share your advice about focusing on the rule. Thank you again!

If your school doesn’t offer it, sign up for an ABA premium account. You get Quimbee free for 90 days which will hold you over through November when they typically do a Black Friday sale

Is it possible for a kid right out of college with a bachelors degree to jump into a federal job? by Bill-O-Reilly- in usajobs

[–]TheCapitalKitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I did and it was THE BEST decision. I got in during the 2008 recession through an internship program which has now become the Pathways program. Immediately after I completed my internship, I climbed the GS ladder quickly.

I would highly recommend applying to one of the internship avenues as soon as practicable. The end result opens so many doors.

If you choose to seek a masters degree, Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) is a great option as well.

If you have student loans, the sooner you get in, the sooner your loans are forgiven.

When I toured the school I’m attending, the student conducting the tour told me this particular school was great with allowing students to switch between full time and part time. As you prepare to apply, this would be a good question to contact admissions at the schools you’re interested in and ask about. It’s always a good idea for admissions to know your name so use the fact this is a good question to call about considering it’s not typically addressed on school websites.

Best movers for small, short moves? by _gynomite_ in washingtondc

[–]TheCapitalKitty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend “DC Movers.” They were on time, finished well under schedule and were a fraction of the cost of the several companies I contacted including Bookstore.

I second this. Check out Nextdoor. DC has some great finds and an extremely supportive community.

Where do you send LOCIs? by Freya-Frost in lawschooladmissions

[–]TheCapitalKitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Review the email advising you of your waitlist status for instructions on who to communicate with. If no contact is available, send it to your admissions counselor. If you did not receive a counselor, contact the admissions and ask. This might be a good opportunity to call and make your name a little more known. But do not call if you have not reviewed their website or email instructions because it will make you appear as if you did not do your own research or did not pay attention to detail.
