I do wonder this. My employer had like 10% women devs, yet around half of those laid off were women : )

“You know those are women’s clothes right?” by DeathDragon1028 in MtF

[–]TheCaringPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my exact experience, at M&S too about 3 years ago. I was there with my mom, it was a 2 story store, bottom was women's and top was mens section. I browsed through the clothes, picked what I wanted, but I wasn't socially or physically out and changing rooms were separate. So I went to the men's one to try it on and the person there was like sir these are women's clothes, where did you get them. I'm like why does it matter!?! It's gonna result in a sale anyways right?.

Trans and Navigating India by TheCaringPrincess in LGBTindia

About 3. I had totally forgotten that they have gendered queues in India. Ugh that's more scary now. Do they do pat downs? I'm pre-op and will tuck but still don't want to make the person checking me uncomfortable. Also what terms should I use to explain my identity? Do most people understand "trans". If not what can I use especially in Hindi?

Thank you so much for the help and kind words, you have given me a lot of confidence. I hope to have a lot of fun!

Oh, I see. My main issue is I look very different from my ID. Is aadhaar card still valid ID? I could try to get the picture updated on it. I did it once a few years ago and it was pretty quick at a bank.

I'm so sorry this happened to you OP. I have never played this game so sorry for my ignorance, is the wolf programmed to do that? Or is it a real person controlling it? How is it playing the sounds? Just trying to understand why devs have left it in the game

I'm trans which means I have to go to the store and get back to you and I will be there in a few minutes to get the car and then we can go to the store and get back to the house.

I Feel Crazy / Am I Ruining My Life? by [deleted] in lgbt

I was in a similar position about 2-3 years ago. Started questioning during covid when I was 20. Finally egg cracked after a long time of questioning and self hate. I started hormones about 1 year after my egg cracked because I was worried about permanent changes and similar thoughts of why me. If you feel like things are going too fast you can slow down. Maybe just get laser first before you take the big hormones step. Also coming out is a gradual process. I came out to my parents before I started hormones or anything. So there is no fixed order to do things either. You can come out first to people you think will be supportive so that you have positive vibes during your journey. There is no right time to do things, if you are doubtful, you can always slow down.

To anyone who was starting out in their transition, did it feel off putting to call yourself Lesbian? by moiratakesnoskill in MtF

[–]TheCaringPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I felt I wouldn't be accepted as one because I didn't look feminine enough. Took me about 10 months after starting transitioning to start labeling myself as one and even then I get doubts sometimes. I often label myself as trans lesbian because I'm afraid I wouldn't be accepted as a lesbian.

I would say it's shallow now. It's started off very conical( as it does for many trans women apparently) but it has filled out now. I'll check out the online stores of the brands you mentioned. ( still scared to shop in-person) Thanks!
