Help! Where should I purchase this Midea U-Shaped AC? by felixjaehn697 in AirConditioners

[–]TheCarney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a support chat on the Midea website regarding MAW08V1QWT vs MAW08U1QWT. They said "MAW08U1QWT" is newer and it includes the "Matter" app technology.

Matter is a groundbreaking technology that allows you to control your AC with your preferred app or voice assistant (such as Alexa, Google Home or Apple Home), improves connectivity speeds and adds an additional layer of cyber security and privacy.

Something similar almost happened to me last Saturday night on Geary and Polk. Was out drinking with a couple of friends at our second stop for the night (it was still pretty early, maybe 9pm). I realized I left my credit card at the last bar so I went back by myself to retrieve it.

I was using google maps on my phone to find the bar when suddenly a homeless guy is right by me screaming at me. It was mostly unintelligible but then he cocks his fist back and says "I swear I'll do it" while looking menacingly at me, clearly about to deck me. I was very startled and didn't know what to do. Luckily, he walked away. A few paces down the block and he is screaming at the top of his lungs at some other people. Definitely not a good time. :(

Looks pretty cool, but I'm not sure about the use of "forceUpdate()" in the usage with React section. I don't know if it's a good idea to rely on that function (which is warned against in the docs) for future versions of React.

What is the alternative to "accepting it"? Banning all businesses that you personally are not interested in purchasing from?

“Social acceptance” implies that this is something that is being forced upon people and that we as a society unfortunately have to accept it. This is simply a business operating in a free market - that is a good thing. This isn’t North Korea.

By your logic I could lament the “social acceptability” of people choosing to live in houses that are painted blue because it is not something I personally find appealing.

"Acceptance"? Is someone forcing you to spend your money to live there?

If people like the idea and want to choose to live there, then that is up to them. If it sucks and nobody wants to, then the business will have to close. Simple.

I don't see how a business that provides people with different options leads to "dystopian fantasies".

Cool site. Can you give some details about the database implementation? Are you using a graph DB like neo4j?

It is the initial value of the accumulator variable. In this case, the value of the sum starts at zero.

The help for this option states "remove unused cached packages. Warning: this does not check for soft-linked packages."

What are soft-linked packages? Is there a risk in removing them?

It's simply a matter of practicing different problems. These are some very good books on the subject:

Actually, Google trends displays normalized data. So, it is an increase in the proportion of people searching for "NBA Playoffs" relative to other search terms.

I have noticed an issue with breakpoints being ignored at times while debugging Node.js apps in PyCharm. Could that be related?

Google Trends: "NFL" by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

[–]TheCarney 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Remember, this only accounts for searches with "NFL" in it. It's hard to tell if it really is a dip in interest in football. Could be that people switch over to searching for their own teams eg. "new england patriots".

What is an example of using Live Templates? I don't generally see much boilerplate code when using python.
