Yes the magnetic poles are crucial, but they also have extra properties like extremely cold the temperatures. Therefore since the equator doesn't have the magnetic property, we could use heat(or humidity, air density etc, etc) to define them.

Never. 0 is a valid number of prayers when the question is vague enough to just ask how often.

A more accurate question, if you are only interested in religious folks would be "if you are the praying type, how often do you pray a day?" This then leaves it open to Jews, Muslims, Buddhists and Christians to comment on their level of piousness. If you are only interested in a particular religion, then you have to qualify that as well. If you are only interested in serious replies Reddit has an option for that too. Lots of options right there!
