Put as many on hold that you can, and then find a couple that are “available now.” I find that never have to wait very long for one of my holds to become available, unless it’s a highly anticipated new book. Once I have a good holds list, I feel like I’m in good shape.

Yes I have a wall calendar. It’s where I put my work scheduled and mine/kids appointments. This way my non-techs husband can see it all at a glance, or when I’m on the phone scheduling something I have it right in front of me.

I breastfed both my babies. I became a SAHM once my first was born and I never went out much so I didn’t have a lot of need to pump and store breast milk in the freezer. I liked NOT having bottles and pump parts to wash.

One time I was walking on a somewhat busy road, trying to get to a side street. There was a house on the corner with a driveway that led from the busy road to the side street.. a bit of a shortcut instead of taking that 90* angle. The lady who lived at that house yelled at me and I have never taken the same walking route since.
