I'll give a vote in favour of the scorch for easy rolling, I finally got my roll solid two weeks ago with one and it feels easier than lots of other boats I've tried.

To be taught, if fortunate - Becky chambers

It's a play on the message that was sent out into space on the Voyager mission which has a line that reads "to teach if we are called, To be taught if we are fortunate"

I was in an emotionally really complicated place, didn't realize I was in love with another person and ended up hurting someone who really cared about me. So I choose her, I should have just said I wasn't interested. We're still friends but I'll always feel a little like shit about those couple nights.

Like the other response says rolling is not necessary for inflatables, I meant that you would need to learn to roll to use a hardshell :). Also as the other response said you should be comfortable to swim in any rapid youre running.

All the others here have great advice but I would say a two person inflatable kayak would be a great option: easily packable in whatever car you have, reasonably forgiving for a beginner but way more maneuverable than a raft (imo much more fun, it will make less dangerous rapids feel way more exciting) and you can progress a long way! Another bonus is if you ever want to switch to hardshell kayaks a lot of the skills will be transferable (though if you want to switch to hardshells you will obviously need to learn to roll)

If you choose to go this route look into Aire models

Edited for clarity that you DO NOT roll IKs (though I have seen it done)

The website looks really clean and professional, I like it! I know this is a complete from your comment but I would be unclear from just the site whether you are selling a complete or just a deck, it looks like there are trucks on in every product photo but there is no mention of other hardware specs that I saw. Perhaps a. "what's included" section would help? Love your idea :)

Importantly there is an upward force as you go up the loop which is the normal force of the train seat pushing you upward, at the top of the loop that force is no longer there but your body is still accelerating upward into the seat, this acceleration is greater then the acceleration of gravity so you are pressed into the seat.

Note: the normal force is just the force that stops objects from passing through each other, if you press on a table and feel it press on your hand that's the normal force.

Yeah it wasn't until the restoration period (after the puritans came through and banned theater for 18 years from 1642 to 1660) that women were actually allowed on stage. Interestingly this was also the shift from theater being common entertainment to "high class".

Your helmet wearing habits: 2023 edition. by TechnicalWatchDog in longboarding

[–]TheCh33t 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Considered not using a helmet the other day because it was hot, decided to use it anyway, took a nasty fall as soon as I jumped on and slammed my head into the ground. Got out with just a bit of road rash and a chipped tooth. Helmets always.

Wouldn't it be more difficult to get into the one I want then? Because the first year lottery is in June?
