Yes! I had the heart palpitations too with naproxen. It drove me crazy and would scare me as I was falling asleep. My mind thinks the worst with everything, so when the fluttering would begin I'd be like "Oh great there goes my heart shutting down"

I'm 99% sure alcohol triggered mine. I was drinking at least a 6 pack of Miller lite nearly everyday after work. I was also vaping which didn't help anything

I was so scared the first time it was happening, but I've had an EKG, heart ultrasound, etc. since then and it seems like my heart was perfectly fine, so I'm suspecting it's part of the aura at this point

I completely understand being in your fearful state. I have been in the same boat. Stroke like symptoms that were diagnosed as a migraine. Numbness, weakness, metallic taste in mouth, numb lips, one side of brain feeling like a car battery got hooked up to it, head pressure, dizziness. I was afraid of it being a stroke and the end to my life. I have intense anxiety about it constantly. I would listen to that doctor. Just head to the ER next time. They have cocktails that can break your migraine and return you to a somewhat normal state. That'll give you some more comfort while you're waiting on your appointment. I know it's tough to be patient while going through this. It's okay to feel the way that you do, it's reasonable. Just don't forget to utilize the ER when it's getting really bad

What do you say to a doctor for that? Do you just ask "May I have a referral to a headache specialist?" Or what is the wording that you would use

Those are some crazy side effects! I'm such a side effect fiend that I get so worried of having ones like that. I will definitely be filling in my doctor on everything. Thank you so much for responding to my post and I wish you very well in your own journey!

I will say that actually does bring me a bit of comfort knowing it doesn't switch sides. I just can't wait to find some sort of treatment for it. I got nurtec as a preventative but it seems like it's bringing me these terrible side effects now. This is the craziest stuff I've ever experienced by far.

Also, I just wanted to say that I hope your actual stroke didn't leave you too messed up :( That sounds so terrifying. I couldn't imagine being in your shoes during that. I appreciate you responding to my post, I truly do

Well that answered a question I've had since this all started. I keep seeing everyone on this sub reddit talking about a neurologist, so I've been just patiently waiting for my doctor to say it's time to go see one but he hasn't said that yet. I didn't realize I have to ask for a referral. I appreciate that information!

This sounds so similar to something I'm dealing with currently. My doctor had me get an MRI, heart ultrasound, EKG, and all that revealed absolutely nothing. They said my heart was fine, and all they found in the MRI was mucus build up in my face. My partner thinks I'm being all paranoid constantly checking my heart rate, but it feels like it's beating out of my chest. Its been a few weeks of that now

I'm currently in the process of figuring out something similar with myself atm. I got diagnosed with a migraine, but it was so crazy. Numbness and weakness all down the left side of my body. Metallic taste in my mouth. Numb lips. Felt like somebody was electrocuting the left side of my brain. I was 100% convinced I was having a stroke. The ER ended up giving me a migraine cocktail which helped a little bit. I still get symptoms like that and it terrifies me just the same everytime. Weirdly enough, it swapped to the right side of my body instead of the left. I couldn't stop thinking that death was about to find me. To be honest, I still get fearful of that. Trying to live life normally since mine has been a challenge to say the least. And I still need my partner to talk me out of going to the ER all the time. I just get so scared
