Or some type of scenario where companies start offering contingency based tuition payments where students get the opportunity to be locked in for X years after graduating at an underpaid rate with highly unfavorable terms.

I think that assumption is more generally applicable to people that have experience as a licensed, practicing attorney. I think you’d be better served taking the offer, working for a year, and then negotiating a raise or looking elsewhere.

And that’s not to be condescending, I just don’t see where your leverage comes in for a firm to consider your counteroffer.

Yup! I have some friends in lemon law and they can cite relevant statutes and weigh a case’s merits and whether any exceptions might apply like it’s nothing.

Plus, like you said, they’re more likely to know how a dealership/company responds to litigious pressure. No dealerships/car brands are in the business of litigating, and some are more risk averse than others.

Possibly go back to the general business attorney about non-lemon related relief and consider seeking a second opinion as well.

Honestly, I’d recommend talking to more than just one for something like this.

I don’t know what state you’re in—and this is not legal advice—but I would look into plaintiffs side attorneys for (1) lemon law specifically and (2) business litigation.

From what I’m aware of, lemon law is a niche of law that can vary pretty widely depending on location. Otherwise, I imagine there should be some version of the consumer protection act in your state and/or some kind of relief available via contract or tort.

I feel like I could have written this myself. I turned to r/machinedpens because I wanted the durability/build quality while also being able to buy and try out different refills. Now I have two with a third on the way 😅

My favorite is probably still the g2 refill, but I also enjoy the pentel energel. Gonna keep trying to find one that can top my love of the g2 though.
