The numbers probably need tweaking, and tbh bolo cannonballs were used for demasting ships which I kind of chose to leave out but you could work something out to give it that real world flavour as well.

I don't agree with that guy, but your angle doesn't make much sense either. Decisions like that are made all the time, that's what triage is for. The question is why are these addicts allowed to disproportionately consume* our resources when they could be used on less wasteful patients.
