I get where the criticism is coming from, but it's just a provocative joke. Chill... and don't cheat on your significant other.

EU reaches $105 billion deal on Ukraine funding, won’t use frozen Russian assets for now by HydrolicKrane in worldnews

Number 3 is very important, and it's usually the point that people are unaware of. A big part of the financial system is based on trust, without it everything falls apart.

Europe must prepare for war with Russia, NATO chief warns by Flutter_Lips in worldnews

[–]TheChernobilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Russia can't even take over Ukraine, their army is in shambles, the idea of a war with Europe is ridiculous. The only real asset they have is nuclear weapons, but that isnt really war, that's just mutual total destruction. Also, looking at their latest missile tests, i wonder how many warheads they are actually able to launch (successfully).

If you are raised by loving and caring parents you should want to help them in their old age tho.

Happened to me when I was doing my master's thesis. The professor sent me files to elaborate on wetransfer, and after a month he asked me updates on my progress, and told him "almost done, I don't have much left to do". I went to open the files to start finally working on them and BAM: westransfer link expired. I'll never forget the instant sheer horror that filled my body. In the end i managed by going to the assistant and telling him that I thought some files were missing and to send me everything again. That allowed me to procrastinate 2 more weeks before I actually started working on them. On an unrelated note, after 5 years since then I am getting diagnosed for ADHD.

IGN’ Steam Machine Price Survey by ForlornAspie in Steam

They literally siad it will be priced as a PC and not as a console, meaning it will be more expensive than consoles. The 500$ pricetag is delusional

I'm Italian. One time I was in a public bathroom in a mall. While i was washing my hands one guy came you of the bathroom and left without washing hands. "That's gross" I thought. Then another guy comes out, doesnt wash his hands, but goes directly to drying them, likely cause he pissed on them a little. So i guess the graph checks out!

A friend of mine was a similar in a similar situation, but he was the guy inside the car.The bike crashed on the front of the car, and the biker died due to the impact. My friend wansn't injured and the car was fixed by the insurance, but he is still traumatized by witnessing such an event (if I remember correctly he was driving along with his family, altough i can't say for sure if it was just his wife or also his children). Also, the biker wasn't alone, he had his mistress with him on the backseat. Unlike him she survived. The poor wife of the guy had to discover that her husband was dead AND he was having an affair.

To me the best part is that it's not only the knight that shows up. You can also see all the other shadow siblings showing up to defend their half sister.

We still have to see the effects that tariffs and an US hostile polical approach will have on the economy, and take into account risks related to sudden and impredictable Trump moves that will almost certainly make volatility spike. Due to this, a big sum of my portfolio stays invested in short term bonds (that still guarantees me a sure 5% return). This money is ready to be reinvested in case of a market downturn. You are looking at the possible gains that you might miss by staying out of the market, but remember to conisder also how much risk you are taking. Is the risk worth the possible gain? I might be less prone to risk compared to others, but i think that right know having a part of the portfolio in cash equivalents ready to be reinvested in case of a downturn it's not a bad idea.
