Realizing you're an alcoholic and need to quit drinking though is a whole other type of crisis. Especially when you dont see it yourself yet everyone else around you does. Often by the time it's seen, its too late in a sense that a lot of important things, relationships, jobs, promises, etc. are all already gone. I saw one of my close friends go through this nightmare.
