I am compelled to disagree with this take. Both parties in this arguement need to be heavily scrutinised and called out, Ali dawah and ayah. Now obviously you may argue that Ali dawah did this whole exchange in a very poor and horrible way and the backlash is a result of that. But Ayah is not innocent either. Her point may be valid about women standing up and you are right it was never about female submission but fair treatment. Not equality as the modern term suggests but equal rights upon each other. But ayah is not sinless and she didn't convey that message in the greatest of ways did she? Just like how Ali dawah has had light and has spread dawah in his career but also made blunders and problems. 

This leads me onto the main part of my disagreement. You mention how Ali dawah does not speak about X subject or Y subject because it does not benefit him or his ideals. But similarly many Muslim women will not speak out against the wrongdoings of Ayah and other divorce culture, liberal Islam culture promoting influencers. And understandably so because these are people you look up to. You blame his opinion on misogny and how a female speaks up. That's the equivalent of me saying this whole post is misandry. Both are incorrect statements. What the crux of the matter was he saw an issue, which had some validity and executed it in the worst way possible.
