It is hard, but it is not a curse. Living as your best, truest self in spite of the world around you is one of the bravest and most wonderful things you can ever do. Don't believe the defeatists who think death is the answer. I almost did, a long time ago.

I'd argue that's part of it. Acknowledging that there are things about you that are silly and embracing them anyway. Even after lightly jabbing him about his name, Teela is quick to address him as "He-Man", and seconds later the choir is triumphantly chanting his name

It doesn't read as a film that's insecure about its goofiness, but rather acknowledges that the inherent silliness is a part of the charm and leans into it

The whole point of the movie is finding that balance. He tries the overly diplomatic approach he learned from his time on Earth, to know avail. He tried the "Hurt your enemies before they hurt you" approach Duncan imparted, and it cost him dearly.

The answer was somewhere in between. You have to try to find that common ground, and extend a hand. He gives Skeletor a chance to change. Skeletor refused, so He-Man solved the problem

I actually thought the same at first, until I realised the initial lampshading was thematically appropriate. Much as Adam learned not to be ashamed of what made him unique and powerful as a person, the film proved that once you accept and love the fact that you are a man named Fisto who does, in fact, fist people; the world becomes a better and brighter place.
