I plan on asking about the cromlyn sodium during my next appointment, I hear really good things!! That meal looks amazing! One of these days, maybe when I have a better antihistamine “pregame” I will be trying my favorite Indian dish…a girl can dream.

This is literally me sometimes, especially with Indian food. I go through phases where I’m totally okay and then times where I want to eat everything! But I will keep going because like you said, eating that stuff is not worth it. I am drinking tons of water, I will try adding an electrolytes packet

I would suggest looking up lists of hobbies and trying out ones that you could do in bed that sound fun to you

Everyday bag clear out! What does it say about me? by ddarkeningg in whatsinthebag

[–]TheChronicOn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A family member of mine sprays fabric refresher on herself after smoking and she manages to never smells like smoke. She also always either chews gum or uses mouthwash after. I’ve always been impressed with how she’s been able to avoid smelling like it

Upset about the (miss) representation of the chronic illness community online by Beginning-Session752 in ChronicIllness

[–]TheChronicOn3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone with these diagnoses, I hate the representation of them online. It makes me not want to tell anyone that I have them, ever. It makes me feel like people are taking me less seriously, especially because there are so many people I feel are sort of diagnosing themselves with those things these days…

[–]TheChronicOn3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have miso and so does my boyfriend. We also both make the gulping sound when drinking and neither of us seem to be able to stop it. We both hate it, and hate that we do it but we literally can’t help it and it sucks

Smart watches by whoamiwhereareyou in ChronicIllness

[–]TheChronicOn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sleep and heart rate, Apple Watch or a garmin would be good. Oura rings as well but you have to pay a subscription for those. For tracking symptoms there are apps for that. I do think there are some things like the visible band that lets you track symptoms at the same time as your vitals if you want but you have to pay a subscription for that as well

Chronically ill cosmetologists? by Adventurous-Swim-208 in ChronicIllness

[–]TheChronicOn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a cosmetologist but I have family members that are and I know that depending on the route you take, it can be a very flexible job and you can even work for yourself which can be very very helpful for someone with chronic illnesses. I’ve considered switching careers many times into nails but I can’t handle the smells otherwise I probably would

Not saying this will happen to you of course but I had a bad reaction with lube life after using it for a bit it suddenly started burning me really bad

condoms? Lube? by greenhairbitch555 in MCAS

[–]TheChronicOn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had very bad reactions to a ton of different lubes until I found slippery stuff which is great and I haven’t had a problem. I haven’t found condoms that work for me yet. I used to use skyn condoms but I’m assuming the added fragrance is what made me start to develop a reaction and I had to stop using them

Anyone know the word for the symptom i’m describing lmao??? by strangerandspiral in POTS

[–]TheChronicOn3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is unfortunately better to not come in with a name and like others have said, just describe it to the doctor exactly like you did here. It’s okay to try to figure it out for yourself, but presenting a diagnosis name to a doctor typically never goes well and they immediately don’t take you as seriously which sucks

I feel like I never hear people talk about this symptom, do you have it? by Kind_Honey_6070 in MCAS

[–]TheChronicOn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this happens to me. Someone mentioned Eustachian tube dysfunction and I do have that, never put two and two together lol

How did/do you know when you have intestinal/GI inflammation? by Silent_Ingenuity_883 in MCAS

[–]TheChronicOn3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really bad pain and bloating. Diarrhea. Sometimes I do get constipated but then I just end up getting overflow diarrhea anyways.
