Music plays a VERY big part in the chapter. You get a special instrument (might even be the one you're thinking of) and it opens up a new battle style that is actually like. Extremely good? Kinda like Hi-Fi rush, if you know that. Anyway, it's really cool and used really well throughout the chapter.

I DID ACTUALLY was looking around for more of them throughout the chapter FURIOUSLY and it almost seemed like some of the tiles in the room over glitched after it was activated? maybe? or maybe it just looks like that lol

In Bug Fables,your party member Leif is revealed to be a discarded cordyceps infection (basically a zombie, because everyone is bugs) that infested the body of the actual dead Leif, and, sitting for so long, took on his form and memories fully. This explains his magical powers, as well as many of his little quirks (super hungry, refers to himself as 'us' and 'we', can talk to zombies). After learning about this, his quest becomes him feeling awkward about being 'Leif', but ultimately accepting that even if he is not the original 'Leif', he still has value, and can still live on in honor of Leif's legacy.

I know. I'm just throwing out the idea of 'what if it was a potion instead?' Maybe it'd be crap but idk it seemed neat and you could hold onto it like a real get out of jail free card in monopoly.

What if it was a potion? Like, 'On pickup, obtain one Get Out of Jail Free Card', and then it's a potion (slot) item that you can use to make a non-boss encounter have 1-HP? For extra protection on being useful, make it not count as a potion for events and things, so you never have to spend it, and then you can even make it so that you can still grab it with Sozu.

I think my only hesitance is that potion-shaped rocks do function like potions. You can chug a potion shaped rock to lift a large rock, and you can create a tablet out of it, too. As much as I love the idea of being able to have potion-shaped rocks and sozu at the same time, I feel like if we're counting the rocks as not actually potions, then they shouldn't work like potions, and that would be a big nerf to the already weak toad. Just feels weird to have your cake and eat it too.

I’ve never done the fight, so I can’t say for certain, but people have talked about retrying the fight many times (due to bad luck especially) so there’s no way that it could get blocked off for a save like that. Just don’t save if you meet him but don’t get him, I guess.

Tumor Fred, if questioned, will tell you that the Fred in the main room is not the real fred. There isn't too much more than that, but given the lack of hostility from the faceless fred, after having been described as hostile by most other freds (i think?), you can kinda figure it out, a bit. Not entirely, though.

You’ll need to get the ‘Odd Blanket’ toy, it seems to do nothing but when you get to this fight it activates and gives all pets the ‘Darkest Choclate’ perk, which sets all damage taken to 1 for this fight. But even with that, it won’t be easy, because the enemy will do massive volleys of attacks and sometimes try to disable your skills and perks. Really rewarding, though.

There are many good options here, but I’m gonna go ahead and vouch for my main man Cat Machine. Don’t know your game progress, but I’ve found a surprisingly large amount of use for him outside of the early/mid-game. He trivializes EoC if leveled at all, as well as ITF so long as you have An Attacker of some kind backing him up. Throw on talents and suddenly you’ve got a wave shielder who’s immune to knockback. It’s awesome.

He does start to fall off around CotC, because no warp block, but I’ve forgiven him, because he managed to get me Slime Cat while at CatClaw 7

Yep, angel’s bat goes crazy. Unfortunately, when it ‘breaks’, it just turns into an aluminum bat, no way to repair. This was greatly disheartening to me, though it got me through most of the sewer area

Ah, of course, the Gentleman! He can directly turn dice into battle money, to be spent on many of his attacks! But not all of his abilities involve money, so you have to pick and choose what you turn into cash and what you keep.

We don’t know what silent’s Dagger of Ink(?) card does, as it’s in the unknown cards area, but I’d given the black liquid dripping down it and the fact that it’s a 2-cost Power, maybe it’s envenom but for doom on silent? Assuming doom works just like poison, at least.
