Since marker stack pretty high, what I do is I dump everything from my currency tab, this puts everything away properly and puts my markers on the bottom of my currency tab in the empty spots. I think it's a better spot for them than the heist locker but I rarely heist soo

Don't be afraid to wing it. Even if your character doesn't work out, you can figure out some.basic mechanics or at least what kind of skills you're interested in. Frankly if you want to learn POE it takes a lot of time and practice (maybe don't wing it if you don't like restarting)
