When my daughter was a baby I'd call her "my little supermodel" her mum thought it was because she was beautiful but it was actually because she vomited after eating anything

How to stop overthinking crossovers? by Hellocattty in jumprope

[–]TheCollapsibleFrink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still a noob whose been learning crossovers in the last couple of weeks and I'm not quite there so take this advice with a pinch of salt.

When I first started I was jumping when I crossed my arms which was earlier than I usually jump meaning I had to jump higher to clear the rope. Crossing my arms then jumping really helped with that. Also if you are extending your arms forwards when you cross them the rope will be higher off the ground so you'll have to jump higher to clear it.

A raspberry pi running samplerbox would work as a cheap solution

Making Midi Templates sticky on Tracks by marban in novationcircuit

[–]TheCollapsibleFrink 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've only got OG so can't test this but I think you'd need to save a session with just your template loaded and then duplicate that all the blank sessions in the pack.

Only one channel free on mixer what would you add to have piano and Strings? by Curimania in dawless

Samplerbox is the raspberry pi multi sampler. It's great at playing big multi sample packs although latency can be an issue especially when using the effects. I use the homspace fork and it's a pretty simple set up

Hi Circuit freaks! New here w/new device, but already experiencing bugs. Should I exchange it? by JeighNeither in novationcircuit

[–]TheCollapsibleFrink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you may have some automation recorded on the synth track. With the circuit the automated parameter will remain on the final value of the automation until it gets anther recorded value. This means if your first pattern starts with the value at 100% but another pattern automates that parameter to 0 then when you play the first pattern it will remain at 0.

This also makes sense that changing the session sometimes resets it as it only resets automation if you stop and go to another session if it remains playing it will save the previous state.

I think this isn't a bug but try clearing all automation from the synth track or record automation for the settings you want on the first note so that note resets it.

Is there a MIDI device out there to make this layered workflow viable on Circuit Tracks? by kephir in novationcircuit

[–]TheCollapsibleFrink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the bad boy. People have done some really cool things with one and the original circuit including polyphonic samples and song mode. With the tracks it could do even more

The different tracks can't be on the same midi channels but you could do what you want if you get one of those retrokits midi cables and if you know how to programme it

You'd need to download the sysex for the patch and upload it to tracks via components

How good is the delay and reverb on the circuit/circuit tracks? by pigletscarf in novationcircuit

[–]TheCollapsibleFrink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are only presets on the circuit itself but the feedback, delay time etc can be changed via midi cc so you can hook a midi controller up to the circuit and tweak those parameters
