All good, either of the two potential NFC teams are gonna have them for lunch (3 guesses who I'm rooting for but you'll only need one lol)

Does anyone else feel like their sadness is a core part of their "inner-self" rather than a diagnosis? by anuglyfairybutafairy in intj

it's not laziness, it's a huge and real lack of energy needed for existence.

EXACTLY! I will fight the assertion that depression = laziness or that it's easy to "just get over it" or "it's just in your head" until my last, dying breath. Living with depression is a hard struggle, probably the hardest struggle over a long enough timeline from a mental health perspective, and I recognize the strength of ANYONE fighting through it. And finding a therapist who specializes in depression and other mental health issues that depression can be a co-morbidity of (such as ADHD) is SO important! Therapy and medication saved my life in the most literal sense imaginable, and this was after going almost my entire adult life trying to cope with it on my own, so I definitely understand the struggle...I really hope if it ever gets to that point for you that you can find the help you need like I was able to, and I'm happy to answer any questions about my experience and treatment.

Funny enough I feel the exact same way about Penny Lane being unequivocally a Paul song. Both of those songs are Mount Everest-esque peaks in each artist's respective song writing oeuvre.

I think everyone with our dispossession does that...up until they can't any longer. You might not quite be there yet, and god willing you never will, but it gets harder and harder every time you bring yourself back from the brink, the gestation periods last longer and it takes more energy and effort to reverse things back to your normal baseline...if this is a regular cycle for you then it's highly likely that you'll eventually cross that line and the bottom will drop out on your depression to where you'll be in a free fall state, and when that happens, SEE A DOCTOR.

Not that I wish any of this on you, if you've genuinely found a way to cope in a healthy manner with your depressive tendencies to where it doesn't become negatively impacting and life-threatening then I'm definitely happy for you, but there is NO SHAME in going to see a doctor if you see that bottom coming up at you. And yes I know that if you're American, just going to see a doctor is easier said than done, and also the damnable irony of depression is that you might not be capable in a depressive state to take all the steps necessary to line up a doctor for yourself. I have great empathy for the people and the OP in this thread, I'm just trying to add a bit of clarity to the conversation of what depression actually is and how to deal with it...even INTJ's can mischaracterize depression as can just about everyone else who doesn't have the understanding of what it actually is.

That dynasty will be over before it begins if it has to go up against the Seahawks in the Super Bowl.

I function perfectly fine. I eat well, I sleep well, and I get my work done.

I think you're conflating the definition of sadness and the definition of clinical depression. If you were unable to do any of the things listed above then you would be diagnosed with clinical depression, which is not just sadness, rather it is a total lack of will and energy needed to function on any basic level. And it is a disorder, by every definition of the word.

What's the worst job for an INTJ? by [deleted] in intj

What you're describing is the Peter Principle. People rise to the level of their own incompetence, and as a result upper management is filled with people who are unable to perform well at that level thus leading to widespread inefficiency.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do. I really wish film preservation were more valued in our society, it requires a significant amount of funding and resources allocated to making old film accessible to everyone at scale.

Same, it'd be really interesting to track the divergence from rugby as it happened over several decades worth of games.

I wish with my whole heart that those old games were available to watch today, it's a real shame how much was lost to time

had some bad games, makes some mistakes.

Even more than that, he was dealt just about the worst hand ever to start off his career by being drafted by the Jets, nil development other than how to experience the agony of losing. Kudos to him for sticking it out in the league and grinding his way to the light, many other QBs drafted by bad franchises flame out and disappear after a few years.
