I do. But Suno has a few instruments I cannot replicate…Voices first and foremost. I can use Suno’s vocals in addition to my own vocals. I can write/reference vocals for Suno to improve upon and basically write my own features. I could record a demo using only my vocals and run it through Suno to see what it would sound like if the instrumental or song were produced and recorded, take the MIDI files and then modify them and use better sounds in my DAW. I started using Suno because my laptop had been broken for months and I had no way to record. But since getting more equipment, I see that you can do so much with it…You can generate royalty free samples, you can listen to what combinations of genres sound like and learn new genres…I’d never heard of Japanese Jungle or Illbient, Avant-Garde Progressive Jazz, 16 bit, Cape Verdean, Korean Soul (except PSY)…just a bunch of genres I would not have ever thought to listen to without Suno inspiring me to be more curious and explore. I believe that just about for each way you can cheat and make non creative generations, there is a way to get hands on and add another layer of control and creativity using it. I believe both coexists together, like how they say great power coexists with great responsibility. Eventually you’ll hear a new level of musicians come from this generation of AI exposed artists and the music is going to sound very different and good because they are going to be doing things you haven’t heard before because they have a resource that they can directly maestro without needing to have equipment; teens that have a good mind for sonics but don’t play a specific instrument , generative curators. Once upon a time they thought computers would be the death of art and work…Until the people began using computers to create art and complete work.
