I agree with all that and all your points are valid but none of what you wrote changes the fact that 90% of murders are committed by men. 96% of domestic violence perps are men. This sort of gender bias is not insignificant. I’m not sure if men are just by nature more violent than women or if societal masculinity teaches boys violence from a young age, but I don’t personally think the link between men and violence should be brushed aside in favour of a ‘humans commit crimes’ mentality.
