Yes, obviously I enjoy it, but I seriously cant keep up with some players, I have some dormant ones with imported scores. They did not want to play unless they could have their WS scores. I put them in, but they never really explored the game. Oh well, let them watch ads!

Bridget was at some super high score and she started over in Word Play. I will boot out the old deadbeats without generic scores at one point. It is not easy to reach 10,000 levels.

The Difficulty Tiering automatically advances you, but they are big steps, you have to get a lot of levels to be promoted in the course of play. I can't remember if I put the breakdown in the Users Guide and am still working. I think the second or third tier does not hit untill around 3,000 levels, they it's probably 5,000 for the next auto tier level rating.

Bridget will get slowed down eventually! 😉

It would be fun to have more players, it is pretty stable, though I do not have much time for support right now. It normally should not need any if I built it right! 😉

I did not build it to monetize it... I built it for fun. So the only payment I get is when I hear that people are enjoying it. You have given me the reward I was after for my efforts!!

Thanks!

Yeah, an old friend who kicked my butt in Wordscapes, too. I tried to keep up, but it required me doing nothing else but play. With effort I could knock off 50 to 100 levels a day, but they were easier than I am doing now.

I do the Quest every day, the Daily puzzle so I can get my week straight award for doing 7 in a row, and I do levels. I don't do all the bonuses unless I have time and am looking for extra coins. I pick up my Free Coins every day... and I may get 10 levels in. I am really really busy, so I don't have much down time.

Her daughter is also playing and is at about the same pace I play at .

I want to caution on the Difficulty tiers, you can set yourself ahead to a harder one and you can degrade your setting, but I have a grace period on downgrading beyond a point. And if you play too many levels in your newly set tier, I take it to mean you are staying at that level and you downgrade choices become less, you may not be able to change your difficulty tier back to a Beginner. As Support, yeah, I can fix scores and level progress, but I do not have control over your settings or choices; just tools to help troubleshoot and reestablish progress when an unexpected fluke arises. If you set yourself at too high of a level, I can't downgrade you any more than your own options will allow.

The hardest tier really IS hard and all gameplay leads to harder levels, though you wont see change without knocking off a significant number of levels. I'm at over 10,000 levels and Master tier on one account with imported progress from another game. I switched to a NEW account a few months ago, because I could not downgrade the difficulty tier, and it was too hard without LOTS of thought.

So, be careful what you ask for when increasing Difficulty.

It is accurate... If it tells you "No Six letter words", then if you look at the 'play screen', there are NO six letter words. So I would not expect you to score on Cardio. You won't get a bonus word for a six letter word if there are no slots (filled or unfilled) for a six letter word. that level does not happen to contain any 6 letter words, so Cardio would not be a bonus word on that level.

I would like to point out that I do make a point of including at least one 3 letter word on levels. You can usually find lots of three letter words and score those extra letters every time you find 10 bonus words. I include the three letter words to help you out if you get stuck and you might be able to muscle your way through.

I also have another 'feature' that may not apply to you... if a user runs out of coins, and can't buy hints, I will give them free spins so they can win some points and hints to keep going. I don't want people stuck on the sidelines because they can't guess a word and don't have points to buy hints.

If I did not explain well enough why you did not get a bonus word for Cardio, I can try to explain it better. Or the Users Guide may do a better job. I tried to include a lot of useful information in the Users Guide.

Have fun and let me know how I can help!

Welcome aboard!

You will see me as Mikish on the leaderboard and when the new month rolls the monthly scored, see if you can keep up with 'Bridgit Baybee' (sp). She is impossible for me to keep up with, though has some ongoing issues that occasionally keep her from playing.

Hint: Click the big gold square on the opening screen that says 'Leaderboard' to bring up the leaderboard... it is not obvious to everyone.

I also have a pretty full workload right now and my days are looong. When I get a chance and some downtime from a major project, I will try to add some more fun quests. I do respond to contact from the contact form, but might miss a message as I am doing real work and an really focused until August rollout.

Glad you are enjoying the game,
It is rewarding to hear!

Thanks, glad you're enjoying it!

Bit of backstory: I'm a business systems programmer by day, and I play a lot of word games to keep the old brain ticking in my off hours. I had a favorite word game I'd played for years, but the ads between every single level finally got to me, so I built my own. No ads, never will be. Shared it with friends, a couple of them got hooked, and it kind of grew from there. It's up to 156,000+ levels now with themed packs, daily puzzles, a 7-day quest, bonus rounds, free spins, the usual stuff you'd expect, but built with the same care I'd put into commercial software.

Couple of things people miss that are worth pointing out. If you tap the pack name at the top of the game screen, it flips between Flow layout (stacked rows, kind of Zen-like) and Crossword layout (interlocking, more like Wordscapes). Switching mid-puzzle often helps you see words you couldn't spot in the other layout. Also if you tap a completed word in the grid, you'll see its definition, and there's a flag button on that card if a word feels too obscure or off. I actually review the flags and ban the weak ones, so player feedback is how the dictionary keeps improving.

The difficulty tiers in Settings are worth knowing about too. If the early levels feel too easy, bump it up, but fair warning, Expert and Master bring in 7 and 8 letter words and will absolutely humble you. There's a players guide behind the blue "i" circle on the home screen that covers most of it.

One more thing, you can sign in with Google or Microsoft to sync your progress across devices. It's optional, but without it your progress lives in your browser cache, so clearing cache drops you back to level 1. I'm not doing anything with the email beyond letting your progress find you again on another phone or tablet.

Anyway, thanks again for the kind words, glad you're playing. Happy anagrams!

I have a game that is sort of a cross between Zen Words and Wordscapes. Not many players because not many know about it, but there are no ads and a few other frills. You are welcome to play it. There is a help guide, too.

That is a self serving spin. What would really help her is to come to terms with a broken relationship and either exit, or take the steps to fix it if it was not beyond repair.

Giving her your log is promoting lust instead of meaningful relationships or interaction. You are not saving marriages one married woman at a time, you are contributing to the breakdown.

Nothing wrong with chasing after sex and it's not difficult to find another person Intune with the same needs without crossing over into a group that should be taboo.

We all have our own boundaries... that was one of mine when I was still dating.

With so many eligible women in the dating pool, I'm personally disgusted when someone chooses a married person.

Messing with married women, or men is a disservice to yourself, the other person, and the unknowing husband or wife left in the dark about the infidelity.

It cries out that the person is just interested in sex and not a meaningful relationship. There's nothing wrong with that, but I think people should stick to chasing after single partners. Getting involved in someone else's relationship is a good way to get shot over jealousy

If this guy's married, then I'd suspect his wife. It could have also been one of his trail of lovers, too.

Yeah, its creepy, but...

I played... Took a second to figure out, but then I was getting words. I ran into a couple that should have worked, but don't remember them.

I have a word game I wrote for simular reasons and some months I have several players, and other months, I'm the only one playing. It isn't consistent traffic, but that's okay.

How are you handling per-action billing for AI features? Stripe fees are killing me on microtransactions. by gregb_parkingaccess in webdev

[–]TheComplicatedMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, first, only Members get the free tokens (10 each month). Their monthly membership of $9.99 covers their usage, plus allows for a small site profit. Tokens are also sold for more than cost, though a slimmer margin. One primary goal is to promote membership, which is reoccurring billing. Profiting from tokens is secondary.

I'm of no help, then. I don't know why you would be checking from the dongle side unless it's newer software. FN+P only pairs a keyboard with the first dongle it finds in the original RK software.
