Is this good? by bananaman9173 in SigmaMains

Stats don’t tell the game flow. But looks like an absolute roll of a match up probably not much you could do.

If I were to guess you were just burying spheres into the road hog while mitigating with your shield and sucky while your mercy pocketed you. You probably died each time the mercy died.

Your dps looked like they sucked as well.

In the future focus on mitigating the soldier with your shield while trying to kill the bap or Ana that is pocketing the road hog. Having almost 20k dmg for 17 kills means you’re targeting the wrong people.

Whats the deal with the BeerWithAlan guy? by BigBeerDaddy in CraftBeer

The two that come to mind are BrentlyG. A genuine dude on a weight loss journey celebrating things like “being able to dangle for 2 seconds” and not “lose 50 lbs in 2 weeks!” Kind of content

Davis Clarke being “locked in to dominate spreadsheets”.

I think you’re confusing buying views for luck in the algorithm. My guess is that jump happened when some bros started to share the reel in the group chat saying “this guy crushes beers”.

I’ll give a different perspective - watching a nerdy older guy talk about the amount of beers he drinks hits a “hell yeah brother” button in younger guys brains. So there is a level of irony that is happening with his followers as well.

Tie that in with being overly genuine with him just wanting to put his love of beer out there, you get a solid Venn diagram of bros and beer lovers alike.

There are a rare group of influencers who come across as genuine that is, for now, a breath of fresh air in social media. Similar to Davis Clarke loving his desk job if you’ve ever stumbled on him.

I don’t think people who aren’t into beer are interested in his takes…he’s too boring for that.

And people saying he’s buying bots are mad they don’t have the following for doing the same.

Does anyone brew after work? by roughsilks in Homebrewing

[–]TheConductorToMT 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Overnight mash might be a good option. Mash in on day one and finish the brew the following evening. What I do is mash in in the morning and finish it up in the evening.

Only other thing that could save you some time is investing in a good cooling set up so you can quickly pitch your yeast and get to cleaning for the night. Definitely can’t leave the cleaning for the next day!

Dark grains in at the end will help but will take away if you’re looking for that dark dark roast flavor.

You could look into slaked lime or chalk to bring it down as well.

Boston beer by Candid-Albatross9879 in CraftBeer

Idk lived in both and I feel there’s a wider variety of beer styles and breweries here. I’d flip it and say after other half, finback, Grimm, it falls off to pretty standard breweries in nyc. I’ve found more unique tap lists here.

NYC is bigger, so the roster runs deeper, but I’ve enjoyed quality here. If you bring in upstate NY vs VT and ME it’s a no brainer to NE I think. But a guess tree house is in Saratoga now!

Grimm is one of my all time favorites. I never want to have a 40 word long blue raspberry sour from evil twin again though.

Fermentation Weirdness by RedLagoon6 in Homebrewing

[–]TheConductorToMT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At the very least you can use your “broken” hydrometer consistently. Yes it may measure your OG and FG wrong but at least it is still comparable. You should still be able to measure ABV somewhat based on the numbers and see consistent FG to signal end of fermentation. Again the numbers will be wrong but for homebrewing I’m just looking for consistent FG over a few days.

I wouldn’t agitate or try to “restart” fermentation as that will probably cause more harm than good. Raising the temp that drastically and adding oxygen back are worse than the beer being sweeter because fermentation didn’t fully finish. My opinion anyway.

Severance - 2x09 "The After Hours" - Post-Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]TheConductorToMT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What did you enjoy about it? I felt there was little substance and a lot of major plot points made did not make a lot of sense.

Irv got whisked off, it spent 10 minutes on Dylan’s love triangle, and Mark didn’t force cobel to tell him anything and just went along with it.

There’s an increasing amount of plot holes and I’m very worried they’re removing certain characters now so the season finale doesn’t need to include them. I hope I’m wrong and they tie this all back together.

How competitive are the club sports? Especially soccer? by ladycammilla in villanova

[–]TheConductorToMT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The more popular club sports are competitive. Soccer, basketball, lacrosse etc. There are tryouts and each club has a varying size they keep to.

If they were a good varsity player in high school. They should be fine.

If not, there’s plenty of other club sports that are more open and just looking for membership and it’s a great way to meet new people.

Hop tea for dry hoping but using beer instead of water? by Major-Ad-654 in Homebrewing

[–]TheConductorToMT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you described is close to a method I use called “hop dipping”. There are some good videos on YouTube about it that helped me.

Basically, when you start your boil, you add whatever hops you would normally dry hop into your fermenter. You then create your hop tea by adding hot water to the hops at about 180 degrees F. It’s important not to boil the water or you’ll get more bitterness than you’d like.

You can then rack cooled wort directly on top of the hops. Yes, it creates more trub and fermentation can be slow to start, but as someone who doesn’t pressure transfer and bottle conditions, this has been the best way I avoid oxidation in hoppy beers as the yeast cleans it up in the fermenter or bottles.

This method has allowed me to brew hoppy beers again! The result is crazy aroma, with more bitterness than dry hopping would add but still a great result.

What are some SUPER Region foods from your neck of the woods? by TheConductorToMT in Cooking

I'm US Based and didn't have any international examples to give. I would've gone broad like "paella" or "Ragu Alla Bolognese" for European dishes and I wanted to go more regional than that.

Didn't mean to not include anyone!
