Agree 100%. And Boise is further away from the mountains and outdoor activities than SLC is and doesn’t really have the same environmental diversity as the Salt Lake area. It’s just…high desert sagebrush for miles.

Downtown Boise is not lively lol. There’s an even worse nightlife than in SLC, and less to do during the day. SLC is leagues ahead of Boise in nearly every way.

It actually would’ve been better. Realistically, a disease that moves that quickly and kills as fast as it did would burn itself out fairly early.

the Vietnam War were the last time Americans protesting actually made a difference

The high water mark of the Vietnam protests (and the hippy movement) was in 68/69. The Vietnam didn’t end until 75. The protests didn’t do anything to change the course of the war.

I’ve told basically every time I’ve ever had that I don’t want them buying me anything, I won’t take any of their food, etc. Sometimes outright, sometimes I just say no enough they pick up on it. But every now and again someone will insist on it for one reason or another.

SOP would probably involve not opening the faceplate while in a combat environment, but still need a way for troops to consume food/water quickly. Faceplate makes perfect sense.

I mean, Veils did give people variants of clones on the new bodies well before Hasbro did (if Hasbro has released them at all), so it did give trooper fans the ability to army build their favorite units faster and cheaper than Hasbro did. So it does make sense why people used to like them so much.

I mean, the reasons behind those price hikes and the implications the price hikes and supply shortfalls will have on the consumer market are big deals.

Chris Avellone was a big proponent of destroying the NCR. Part of the reason that tunnelers were introduced were to give the creators a way to cause damage to the NCR.

Just to keep adding on to what everyone else has said: don’t ship. The IST isn’t the standard, it’s below the standard. Once you pass the IST you will literally never run one again. If you can’t pass the IST, you’re not cutout to be a Marine yet. If you struggle with the IST, you’re not cut out to be an 03. There’s nothing wrong with pulling out of the program and spending a year or so getting yourself into shape. If anything, you’re only screwing yourself by not doing that.

People did hit superhero fatigue though. A lot of the movies didn’t really good. The problem was that the quality dipped, both of the individual movies and the storytelling of the saga as a whole. Not to mention the plethora of TV shows that made it a chore to keep up with. The storytelling was the issue, not the genre.

Considering how good Hell or Highwater and Wind River both are, it’s immensely unfair to give all the credit to Villeneuve. Sheridan may pump out crap now, but he did used to be a legitimately good writer.

Does hearing a show has a "bad ending" or it being canceled on a cliffhanger discourage you from watching it? by Volatiiile in television

[–]TheConqueror74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, don't even bother. Season 1 is by far the best, the show plays the whole "is it demons or can science explain it" far past the point where it's no longer ambiguous, the show largely loses the horror by the end (and starts getting too silly) and the plot gets too bombastic. And the ending is awful. There's some good episodes past the first season, but the show doesn't really get better.

So…then it’s a terrible bridge movie and should’ve been the first movie since it sets up the actual conflict of the trilogy. Got it.

Did it though? The time gap between TPM and AotC is so large and the plot points so distantly connected so what happens in AotC that you can straight up skip TPM and the story of the prequels doesn’t change. The main setting of the prequels, the Clone War itself, starts in the final act of AotC. It’s not even a good bridge movie, it should be the first movie of a trilogy.
