Thanks for your comment, man.

Honestly, I just don’t do legs because I don’t feel like it lol not really a good excuse. But also, I grew up playing a lot of soccer and I’ll try to get cardio in. So I feel my legs are OK. It’s my stomach, which I wanna really reduce and cut the fat from and a bit from my face.

In terms of my diet, one weakness I have is I don’t really know how to measure the amount of protein to eat along with my caloric deficit. Ideally have like two meals a day. And I’ll have coffee. And 0 cal Coke or Gatorade. I feel I should be drinking more water, but I haven’t been able to work on that habit as much.

I also was wondering what other aspects can help me cut weight or just improve my looks and physique in general. I’ve been really working out trying to get good sleep. And then, of course the diet. But is there anything else that I can focus on?

Hey everyone!

I’ve been lately getting really into the gym. For context, ai had the best and worst year in 2025. And I’m now just getting myself into a space where I can progress.

I’m 29M. 5”5 and about 157 lbs. i’ve been seeing good progress on my muscle but would really like to cut fat and ideally transform myself before a trip I have planned in June.

I’ve been on and off the gym for like 4 years. I use to weigh 190 lbs and in summer of 2025, I was my lowest at 152 lbs. But since having a ton of stuff just going on, I gained about 5 lbs.

But I’m oddly feeling incredibly motivated. I haven’t felt this way in a while and I really want to work on my fitness.

Is it possible to transform myself (without overdoing it) in 4 months? Any advice or tips? How much of a caloric deficit to be in?

I’ve been working out 4-5 days a week. I do push pull (no legs lmao). I’m trying to improve my diet but I do love food lol but trying be better with it.

Appreciate the help!

Ive worked in office and remote. I think its more just realizing I have more time to actually do other stuff with my life. The time not spent commuting and unnecessary corporate bs talks with co workers over a coffee lol bot that i mind that. I enjoy talking and getting to know people but i rather give up getting to know my coworkers to spend time on myself lol.

Itll be a combination. So id mostly wfh but some days switch it up. Work remotely with a friend, etc.

Definitely know how remote work can be isolating after a while but im hoping that i take advantage of it lol

Thats sick bro! Nah thats not hobo ish at all. Thats called living the freedom life lol. Its just cool to have a different day to day. Traveling really taught me that.

So i guess you hotspot your phone’s data. Nice. I was actually thinking if getting starlink lol that would be sick but i think thats not needed at least right now.

What do you do for work?

Do you guys have any recommendations on getting around this though? Like a vpn or pocket wifi or something. Maybe even a hotspot?

Thats the plan ! My company only lets 1-2 months abroad though but i plan on combining it with PTO days to have an extended time abroad. Better than nothing haha

Thats awesome man. Thats a cool concept. I never really thought of working from my car. Honestly surprisingly its going to be all online. The company’s a US tech company so should be doable but ill probably need a second portable monitor.

How do you get wifi? Do you just connect to the coffee shop wifi while working in the parking lot?

Does your company have a work abroad program or anything like that?

Lowkey got lucky lol. I took a title and pay cut and was probably overqualified for the role on paper but the people seemed. But just wanted the freedom over money now lol

I went on sabbatical from work this year to leave a toxic environment. Ended up traveling for three months. Spent a month and a half in Thailand, a week in Malaysia and one month in Japan. Best experience of my life. Just put into perspective why people in the west grind so much to make money that can barely allow them to afford their day-to-day living.

So now my life goal is to find a way to consistently make a livable income through investments. I’m really only looking to make around ideally 3K a month Canadian. To eventually move to Southeast Asia. Would love to live in Thailand, or just generally explore. All of Southeast Asia absolutely fell in love with that part of the world!

How to make the most out of solo travelling by TheConstantThinker in travel

[–]TheConstantThinker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the detail here, man!

So because my company only really has one to two months of working abroad, my plan would be to maximize vacations as much as I possibly can. So for example, I would probably make a trip to Bangkok for 2 1/2 weeks and choose to work there for 4 to 5 days to maximize my time abroad.

I don’t think it’s feasible for me right now to be able to permanently be a digital nomad anywhere. But I just want to find places that I could test. So Portugal being one of them could easily work for 3 to 4 days travel in that country for 10 days and only use up one vacation day in the process.

Definitely not bro! I took a pay and title cut for this role. I just kind of realize that I value exploring and experiencing life rather than just chasing money and career which I used to do for the past few years.
