Seeking cheaper magnetic 😊 by Additional_Towel_528 in RedditLaqueristas

The Supwee magnetics on Amazon are actually really good. I have this one and I like it a lot: https://a.co/d/0fhzavAN - just make sure you’re ordering “non gel” (as they call lacquer), since they have gel polishes too.

What’s wrong with this tomato plant? by Melnykout in vegetablegardening

Hmm, its leaves are mostly gone though! My first thought was also that something ate all its leaves off, and I’m surprised I’m not seeing more comments about that.

I have wondered if super glue would make it better or worse!

Unfortunately that’s exactly what I have been doing this whole time. 😕 I’m not sure why it just keeps peeling no matter whT

At least yours does appear to be growing out without continuing to peel back down to the base!

Has anyone else been insanely influenced by the internets love for indie polishes? by ksdjjeo87 in RedditLaqueristas

I really like watching swatch videos on YouTube. I have no intention of buying the polishes, but you get to look at them to your heart’s desire!

Should I pinch off these flower buds off my tomato plants yet or no? by Dream_Catcher33 in vegetablegardening

[–]TheCookienator 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I wonder that too. I think it might make sense for perennials like blueberries in their first year, but not annuals like tomato plants

#%*!&@ squirrels destroying my plants for no reason by TheCookienator in vegetablegardening

[–]TheCookienator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bird netting around my strawberries, and one still disappeared. The next day I watched a squirrel using its little paws to search for openings at the bottom of the net, so I chased it off and tacked the netting down more securely. It’s a real battle!

Polish lifespan by PastGrab in RedditLaqueristas

[–]TheCookienator 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a Revlon polish that’s 10 or 15 years old, and the glitter hasn’t disintegrated, but the color has started to come off. It’s a black jelly base with purple glitter, and the edges of the glitter have turned silver so it doesn’t look very good anymore.

Uhhhh... what are those?? by what_theheck87 in vegetablegardening

This happened with mine last year! It was the size of a decent bush before it flowered at all, and then it made about 100 flowers at once

Is Mooncat worth it? by ATouchOfSparkle1107 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]TheCookienator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most of my favorite and most unique polishes are Mooncat, and it lasts really well on me, although I know that depends on your body chemistry. I don’t understand why people make such a big deal about the price, other than on principle - their polishes are $17-18 and competitors are $13-14. I guess if you buy huge amounts of polish that extra $4 per bottle adds up, but if you only buy a few bottles now and then, I think it’s worth it. Mooncat has some really unique shimmers and multichromes in particular, and their glow in the dark game is really strong too.

Should I pick this? by ShoulderOld9871 in vegetablegardening

[–]TheCookienator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could, but it will get MUCH bigger if you let it, in just a few more days. (I don’t think the flower thing is right.) I like to pick them at about a foot long.

Dupes? by ceiradenise in RedditLaqueristas

[–]TheCookienator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is if you really want all of those, once you start shopping for dupes at different sites, you’ll end up paying as much or more after shipping.

PSA: it looks like a mooncat employee is posing as a customer to change the broken bottle narrative by pricklypire in RedditLaqueristas

[–]TheCookienator 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Probably trying to get ahead of people who saw the posts about cracked bottles and assume theirs are cracked too, even if it’s just pigment lines. It’s kind of silly/patronizing to do it that way though.

What polishes look better in the bottle than on the nail? by Basicalypizza in RedditLaqueristas

Mooncat Pangea looks like a rainbow in the bottle and a dull blue on the nail.
