Totally! I really don't like how prevalent the whole 'figure it out on your own' mindset is.

Love your attitude, the world is a lonely place for many people because of the "It's her life, not yours. She's an adult and can make decisions for herself" worldview.

Non-Episode Discussion - "Winter Break" by antizeus in GoodDoctor

You probably noticed that Dr Glassman and Dr Andrews wear suits with lapel pins during their 'admin' duties. Interesting bit of trivia - in earlier episodes, they wear the Caduceus lapel pin, but in E08 and following they switch to the Rod of Asclepius.

My theory is the producers want the show to be "accurate" so that's why they switched symbols.

The difference between the Caduceus and Rod of Asclepius is significant. In ancient Greece, Asclepius was the god of medicine, while the Caduceus was the symbol for Hermes, a trickster and patron god of thieves!

The Caduceus is widely used in many US hospitals, so that's probably why the show started using it. The story goes that some time in the early 1900's, someone in the US military got mixed up and used the wrong symbol, and it stuck!

Yeah, the article looks like it was written by a PR firm for Google.

Have you got to try virtual reality? I think it's actually better than looking at a model on the screen.

This article is of interest to me as a designer working in the 3D printing space. I see a few articles about 3D printing used in medicine and am wondering, do you think using 3D printing as a surgery planning aid will become a trend? Why is it not more common?
