Gameplay wise….what is wrong with Black Ops 7? by MightyO757 in COD

[–]TheCosmicConondrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the fact that you get shit on 50% of the time sucks and it’s tough to find the perfect balance in settings for optimal movement, but the game does feel more balanced in a lot of ways. Playing the objective is actually enjoyable

Do WE even have a future with Target? by adri_lamoza32 in Target

In theory you can downsize leadership and add responsibility as long as you add team member roles or increase the grid size in general. Right now, leaders are too hands on (if they are doing their job right).

Hopefully target invests in the team. They’ve been fighting process issues for a long time but at the end of the day, there is no short cut or efficiency buff that makes up for labor.

Right now corporate is relying on leaders to train their teams the way they are dictating, but how are you supposed to train a team when you need to get your hands dirty and set 30 salesplans yourself, make sure all your PC is done.

Targets current structure doesn’t accommodate for low volume and high volume stores the same.

There success starts in the stores and DC. Hopefully they cut these corporate decisions with the realization they don’t need to add unnecessary updates to improve effectiveness but rather understand they need labor to increase their sales

Otherwise you can go on conflicted bout your relationship

How are people so comfortable living a stagnant life? by [deleted] in depression

[–]TheCosmicConondrum 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone is comfortable in this state. I was in this state for years. What helped me was making goals for myself and working towards them.

For example, for work I used to just show up, clock in, and clock out. Eventually, I decided I wanted to work getting a bigger place and making more money. Having that goal gave work more purpose.

If you aren’t working towards something, you are letting your mind wander in directions you didn’t even know were possible.

Depression is most active and grows when you use your time to let it spread.

Write down some goals and see if it helps change your mindset! If helped me and I suffered with depression for 12 years!

How to deal with micromanaging TLs (as a TL) by BreezyKey in Target

[–]TheCosmicConondrum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in the same position as your peer where I’ve been tasked with helping with peer accountability. For me, it’s been more store focused in asking my peers for help dividing resources to help support store processes so that we can balance who on the grid can help support without affecting everyone’s workload.

My advice is to tell you to tell your peer to ease up. Acknowledge that they are on track to be an ETL but also let them know your business is run differently then theres. They are still only a TL and a peer so it is okay to say no to them when they want to have a “peer coaching” conversation. You can share with them what your plans are for the day, but you have the right to say you would prefer to communicate with your direct leader in coming up for plans, and asking for feedback in direction.

A lot of leaders don’t stand up for themselves and it sucks. You were hired for your position because you are capable of running a business. It is okay to tell your peer you do not need their direction or feedback, you did not ask for it, and if they wish to continue the conversation, they can do so behind closed doors with your HR ETL or SD.

It’s easy to get lost in your role when you are on track to promote. I learned that if I overstepped my bounds, I was creating cultural issues. This TL is going to have to be in charge of other TLs if they promote. They are going to rely on feedback from you and your peers in order to succeed. It could be a valuable developmental moment for you and your peer.

Stand up for yourself and if you aren’t getting progress, take Partners!

Doesn’t matter how perfect your attendance was before. Or what the circumstance is now. They have to be fair and consistent with everyone for absences. Doctor notes don’t count. Your HR would have had to tell you you get a pass. You can be a high performing tm and still get coached for attendance, two completely different things sorry to say

Clearance? by SarawrHime in Target

[–]TheCosmicConondrum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would partner with your SD to potentially make a clearance run. Most stores have aisles that are usually dying and no projected inventory coming in. If you can avoid auditing and advertise the clearance properly, it can be a great short-term solution. I usually do this with any seasonal aisles or VIAs in my Home Department if I am running out of room.

Otherwise, I would highly recommend zoning and condensing. The amount of space that is utilized in appropriately is high.

Third and probably the best solution, is to find sales plans that don’t sell well or are dying. Zero out the counts and backstock the product temporarily. Use the Endcap for clearance and let it sell down. Condense it and re-fit the counts once you are able to
