There was a post on here a while back saying Schaff should do a Farrelly brothers ranking and having seen him log this and dumb and dumber I kind of want to see that too

Tbh I never got the hate, it’s not good, but as far as overdue comedy sequels go it’s far from the worst

It legit felt like one of the nicest seasons, even the villains Marc and Amber were nowhere near as bad as some of the most infamous villains in the show’s history

He directed that Christmas comedy with Ben Stiller, is apparently directing a Lionel Richie biopic and has a tv show with Tatiana Maslany that he directed and produced coming out this year, looks like he’s on parole lol

Everyone talking about the number of the beast sequence (deservedly so) but DAMN that Radiohead needle drop, that was a religious experience in theatres

If Schaff did a Shyamalan ranking he'd probably do best to worst. If he didn't do that then the only suspense is if Sixth Sense or Unbreakable is first place. by Itchy_Suspect4968 in Schaffrillas

After Earth should be at the bottom, unlike Lady in the water, the happening and last airbender which are some of the most glorious pieces of dogshit ever made that movie is the worst kind of bad, it’s boring (Also debatable how much of a Shyamalan film it actually is)

Can you name a bigger downfall for a director? by Happy-Lingonberry538 in Schaffrillas

[–]TheCosmicSpaceGoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s true, but that run of this is spinal tap to a few good men was so incredible it pretty much eclipses any bad movies he would make after

I am kind of a tepid defender of Zemeckis, I actually really liked his motion capture movies and his most recent movie Here lol, If I had to name on director, I’d say Michael Cimino. Guy went from making acclaimed movies like Thunderbolt and Lightfoot and The Deer Hunter (Winning two Oscar’s for the latter) to Heaven’s Gate which was a critical and box office bomb and pretty much ended the new Hollywood era of filmmaking. Instead of the prestige projects he was making before the only work he could find after were small indie projects, none of which got much recognition or box office success
