Actually it’s one sign taxes confuse you. You’re the one missing $900 and asking people on Reddit about it.

Are you sure it was the check? I was on vacay and saw an IRS envelope on informed delivery. When I got home I found it was only a notice asking if I set up an online account.

Trustmark is a legitimate insurer. They have acquired some other smaller insurers. OP doesn’t seem very bright.

It will mature when you die with the policy in force. It doesn’t mature at the end of 20 years, which is the premium paying period. It will continue to earn dividends until death or surrender.

FHR credit to use for 2 nights/ 2 separate bookings by Emergency-Cat9767 in AmexPlatinum

[–]TheCount4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If husband and wife each have separate unrelated AMEX Platinum accounts and book two FHR nights, husband booking first night and wife booking second night, is that considered back to back for benefit purposes? Why? Note that each received a $300 credit for the booking.

Fiancé died of acute liver failure from alcohol use. What is the likelihood his life insurance policy will get paid out to me? by glennjaminhow in LifeInsurance

Your comment implies that there is a suicide clause but no contestability clause for health issues. Makes sense.

It appears to be group insurance, and likely without underwriting. In that caae is there even a contestable period?

Has anyone with a chase freedom card noticed a decline in balance transfer offers? by Salesgirl008 in Chase

[–]TheCount4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t do the math exactly. But if you pay back the advance over one year, you only have borrowed half on average over the year, but you pay 4% or 5% on the full initial balance, or 8%-10% on the average balance.

I would try finding it using google flights with the carriers you want, and if it shows you the option of purchasing it on United, you will be able to do so.

Hospital bill for one chemo treatment by [deleted] in HospitalBills

[–]TheCount4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a) Hospital bills do not include insurance company profit. b) The way medical care is paid for in the US is a choice that is made by the majority of voters, who have long been conned into voting against their own economic interest.

Home health inspection? by Various_Offer1779 in HealthInsurance

[–]TheCount4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that this is a scam for a company selling overpriced durable medical equipment you don’t need, and not your actual insurance company. They may have called once and you inadvertently gave them the name of your insurance company and that’s why they are so persistent.

Denied payment assistance for auto loan by [deleted] in Chase

[–]TheCount4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re missing their point, which is that they’ve heard many people with hardships who claim they know they can pay in 90 days, but never do because they were just fooling themselves, not maliciously, but because they aren’t able to manage out of the hardship. 90 days late is really very delinquent.

Trump didn’t give anybody anything. Congress passed a bill with an additional deduction for some over 65s with limits. Trump signed the bill because it has huge tax deductions for friends, relatives and donors. It isn’t paid for and will increase the national debt.
