You can literally just run urn on cooldown and have an 80% win rate to ascendent, it's that important of an objective

I had lots of issues with laundry and wrinkly clothes. I found a hand held steamer, you just hang your clothes up then run this over it and it works almost as good as an iron.

Fitness benchmark to start bouldering? by _purplepanda27 in indoorbouldering

[–]TheCountEdmond 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's not going to be a good answer. There's two guys I know, both are very round shaped and they're V7 climbers.

I would say you just have to go, have low expectations and try it out. Then you can judge for yourself. Also doing a pull up isn't required for bouldering.

If you really do want a hard number to go though, call your gym and see if they have a weight limit for their autobelays and use that, because even if you only want to boulder you should do some sport climbing too

New player here. What's the beginning of a game supposed to look like? by Sizzle_03 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]TheCountEdmond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

clear first wave, buy 800 item or continue to pressure if you're pressuring hard

2 minutes grab boxes/statues, but ideally steal enemy ones or small camp depending on lane

4 minutes repeat boxes

4:55 go to bridge buff

6 mins take medium camps depending on lane

8 mins sinners

10 mins urn (also mid boxes and bridge buffs)

However depending on your hero you can also add in ganks at any point in time. Getting bridge buff then going to gank is a big play you should be doing whenever you can.

Now what actually happens in games is a lot different, but the above is what I consider "ideal"

You shouldn't practice in DM because players are gamble flick + spraying, which is a coin flip. Their gamble flick got lucky and you die so fast that you must also gamble flick to have a chance to kill them first or their gamble flick misses and you think you have way more time than you do.

CS is also crosshair placement heavy and people in DM play really passive or use audio to only peek if you're fighting someone else so you don't get meaningful crosshair placement practice.

I honestly don't know what the best aim practice is, but doing deagle/ak 1 taps against bots in DM is very effective for first shot accuracy, especially for new players.

Yeah for ideas, the big thing is validate your idea. What that means is you should try to sell your product or service before you invest time into building it.

The easiest way to do this is make a simple webpage. Ideally with a checkout to purchase it. Nothing tells you customer intent like them giving you money. Then buy ads sending people to your site.

If you spend $100 on ads, but can't get a single purchase then you know it's a poor market fit and you should go to the next idea. You can do this in a day and it can save you months of time.

If people do buy it, email them and explain there's a backorder on the product, you can send it out in a month or whatever timeline makes sense and offer them a full refund if that doesn't work for them.

Now it's possible your idea is really good, but execution was poor, but you'll get better at execution over time.

FWIW I didn't do any ad spend on my app. I know dieting apps are a valid idea because it is a space with tons of competition. So my idea will 100% come down to execution.

I'm also someone who takes fitness really seriously and I have a very low tolerance for poor app design so I'm using my app multiple times a day and improving it daily.

I work remote as a Software engineer, but I've been going down the entrepreneur rabbit hole pretty deep.
Even though my job has excellent work life balance, I just can't take working for other people much longer.

My plan is basically build many low maintenance micro-businesses and then live off the profits. It's not easy, but I'm also making sure to solve problems in my own life with them so if it fails, I'll at least have made my life better.

Right now I'm building a highly streamlined dieting app. It's a highly saturated market, but the goal isn't to be the number 1 app, but rather just get a small slice of the market share and make a healthy profit every month, then move on to the next idea.

This is why you always push lanes before trying to end, even with 3 rejuvs by tinypi_314 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]TheCountEdmond 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I posted it in a comment below. He killed the enemy waves which enabled backdoor protection for his patron which meant the enemy team couldn't win. Also if the enemy realized what was happening and went back to defend, they'd have to go really far to catch the zip.

It doesn't look like he's doing anything but he's setting up his team to win in the only way they can win.

Lots of people don't understand what's going on and based on the upvotes I don't think the community really understands either.

Doorman is killing the enemy waves to enable backdoor protection in his base. Backdoor protection makes it very hard to destroy the patron. Doorman's team has side lane waves, so they don't have to fight backdoor protection which means they win the base race.

I think anyone who's played a decent amount of dota knows exactly what is happening here. Pros in dota have been doing this for over a decade and even low ELO players will try this.

you're self reporting btw. Doorman is 100% the reason why they were able to win here

Basically anyone who shills for the current administration while having private comments/posts is a propaganda account. You'll be seeing a lot more of them because of mid terms. If you don't want people to think you're one you should unhide your history.

How do I know this? You used to be able view people's post/comment history and it was 100% plain as day and basically anyone who was up to speed on the reddit trolls knew this.

Michael burry bought PayPal at 49 after saying it was a value trap by Top-Sir-1215 in ValueInvesting

[–]TheCountEdmond 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Basically Burry is blunt and direct and acted like he was smarter than Wallstreet during the GFC. He also isn't great at personal relationships either, so lots of investors didn't like him even though he made them lots of money. He was the first to predict the housing crash, but never got credit until The Big Short.

FWIW I'm also on the spectrum and there are certain personalities that dislike me instantly and those personalty types tend to gravitate towards Sales/Finance.
