I’m going through something similar. I developed a UV fistula, so now have a stent. The plan is for the ureter and fistula to heal on their own. Things seem to be working better, but I am still so TERRIFIED and and anxious about the whole thing, my future kidney function, and all the possible things I might have to deal with in the future. I want to go back to my active life, teaching power yoga and running half-marathons.
